8:28 the particular setting that is different is something called the SuperKo rule. This rule makes it so no previous board position can be repeated. Since the AI had this rule turned on by default, there will always be a winner of the triple ko, since eventually, one of the captures will repeat a board position from several moves beforehand.

Thank you very much for you effort and the result. Shin Jinseo really said some remarkable things about AI, it may be worth while watching this video again. Like, what is there more in go than what AI delivers, how to take advantage of that? Not for me, but in general I like these kind of questions, and their answers.

Sooo great! It's so awesome to see that the best player in the world shares my opinions on AI! I'm very surprised that no computing company has created a server rental services for top pros. There's money to be made here isn't it ? Hehe 💵💵 Thanks so much Yeonwoo for creating subtitles for this one! It must have been so long, you're the best ! Cheers ❤

I am confused. I thought there _was_ a way to rent a server computer and run AI on it.
@basildaoust2821Ай бұрын
OH @goproyeonwoo, you are aware that KZbin will create subtitles in Korean for you and then we can translate the subtitles into British English :) So you do not need to waste 5 hours of your own time. The downside is it does it while you speak, not before you speak, so maybe what you did was cool. I did pause the video many times since my eyes are bad now and my reading is slow so I did not take any chances or not many :) OH, maybe you should learn shorthand so you can write out what is said in funny symbols and then typing up the comments might be easier.

I cannot not do it, a piece of advice for Shin Jinseo too: quit the drinking while you still can, it’s a slow but sure brain killer. Nothing against an occasional beer, though.

First I'm not a Go player, but for some reason, I watch Go shows now and then. This was interesting. So that crappy 2017 Go AI was too good, what if that program had spent the last say 7 years training itself to be better, would it be unbeatable? What if it's still training day after day hour after hour second after second for 20 years, would it get to some place where it stops losing points in the end game. It almost seems like someone needs to wake up the AI and show it really how to play, show it when it makes bad moves during the end game. I get that it plays a game way quicker than us humans and it can play so many games but if no one says hey this move cost you a point and if you played here instead you would not have lost a point, even if the enemy played that spot you would have been just fine because of this...

Thank you for the effort of having such a great guest. Nonetheless, there are so many many interestiing topics that could be discussed in depth, but all the exchanges just remain polite and superficial. Having the opportunitiny to chat with a Go player of such a high level must be facinating, this shallow discussion is far from that
