Hey Mike. Great video. Was wondering if I could suggest a song for a drum cover? Could you do Bloodline by Northlane? It's relatively new though, so not sure if there's drum tab for it. Maybe just an improv of it? Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion Charlie, will add it to the list!

Hey mike, this is completely unrelated but, I play heal down instead of heal up. I just find heal down so much more comfy, do you think it’ll affect my playing negatively?
@MikeBarnesDrums5 жыл бұрын
Hi man, I tend to use heel-up for almost everything, I find it much easier to play fast and smooth that way and get the quick double hits going with that method. I tend to recommend it to most of the students here and on average they have the best results with that. I do still use heel-down for low volume playing and where quick doubles are not required. But ultimately it’s your decision man. Cheers!

Mike Barnes Drums I find it a lot easier to do double kicks and such with heel up but I find it so uncomfortable. I try to play heel up but it naturally feels better down

@@njgjovi7739 Cool, I'd say stick with it for the quicker stuff. And maybe get some instruction on it from a teacher - they may be able to help you feel more comfortable when playing it. Cheers man!

Not quite right for the section at and after the word "sweat" the song changes time signature for 3 bars, which comes across as 6 triplets. The rim shots are on the 2&3& of the second triplet. If you count in to this as 4 you will slow the tempo by 80%. Listen to the bass. It plays mute 2 3, 1 mute mute, mute 2 3, 1 mute mute, 1 2 3, 1 2 3, 1 and then it's back into swing time
