Otangelo is purposely dishonest every time. Sure he might be actually as ignorant as he seems to be, but seeing his interactions and comments dishonesty seems to be te case. His entire stick is, he continueously copy pastes from a prewritten script and endless nonsense from his favorite ministry website. He is a script theist, its why he tries over and over again to attack something thats not the topic. Every argument he uses fails, he knows he uses refuted arguments. He openly admits his source about evolution is a creationist/intelligent design ministry website which means he knows nothing about it. No matter what he will never accept any awnser that contradicts his religious beliefs.

@@Julian0101 Haha, yeah he sourced that too one time with me. Because the title of the article suggested it and in the intro it said jebus and his shroud of turin. But the rest of the article showed how the shroud is a forgerie. And when you point this out he spews 10 new completely other claims, to avoid talking about it. His favorite is trying to say " because abiogenesis has never been succesfully demonstrated in a lab its impossible." (in those lines) He loves the god of the gaps.

I like it when Eric is angry. Sometimes the only thing you can use to drive back darkness is fire. "When you can prove that the Bible isn't the word of God..." Wrong, wrong, wrong. The Bible is like any other works of fiction. It does not gain any privilege over its peers so that it needs to be proven false to be disbelieved while others have to be proven true to be believed. Isaiah 34:4 also describes the sky as being like a scroll and the stars are just shiny duds on it...instead of God kindly pointing out they're ginormous balls of burning gas...

While it is conceivable that a worldwide flood might obliterate the garden of Eden, the inability to locate Eden doesn't confirm the flood story, which we also can't confirm. It's a convenient cover-up. I also remember reading the bible as a kid and puzzling over Cain's comment, "...and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me...(Gen 4:14)". Who was "everyone"? Adam and Eve only had Cain and Abel at that time (according to Genesis). Who would he have to fear? I know that Genesis goes on to say, "...And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters...(Gen 5:4) but Cain didn't even know about Seth. How would he have any idea that there would other people, not to mention this mysterious wife that he took? (Gen 4:17). From a very young age, the biblical stories just made me skeptical and nothing has changed that since. The more I read, the worse it got, which lends credence to the idea that many atheists became atheists after reading the bible. The religious don't actually read it. They might own a bible or two but they don't read it.I wish they would.

@@intelligentdesignacademy3460 Again sourcing a creationist ministry as if they have any science to offer. And no there never was a global flood. There were floods but never one big one. The evidence shows us that this never happened. And you already know that Noahs ark, is a copied down story from the epos of gilgamesh, which again is based on the epic of athra-hasis which again is based on the epos of Ziusudra. Mostlikely based on a local flood near the black sea. And have you even read the article you sourced here? except for quotemining it. (again dishonesty demonstrated) It specifically speaks about local floods, the chinese legendary flood is about a damn breach of the yellow river. Which also is specifically said there is actually no geological evidence that ever happened. The article even goes into noahs flood as a local flood from the black sea.... Thanks for failing completely and utterly again.

@@intelligentdesignacademy3460 That evolution is a fact is demonstrated by agriculture and the breeding of animals. Modern crops were developed over thousands of years by farmers crossbreeding different plants. Likewise, modern breeds of farm animal and domesticated animal have been developed over thousands of years by humans. And such breeding is merely humans manipulating already existing natural processes for their own ends. That genetic codes change when passed down to offspring is established as well- we do not make copies of ourselves, so there are small changes with every generation. All of this is established fact. Genetics and the fossil record also allow us to establish that we are in the same family as other primates. There really is no serious debate on this matter, which is why the more rational Christians among us don't even bother trying to dispute these facts.
@amtlpaul
@amtlpaul 5 жыл бұрын
@@intelligentdesignacademy3460 Pretty weak stuff... No one is denying that there were floods in the ancient world. A global flood is another story entirely. And the trouble is, the whole idea that all the species in the whole world made their way to an ark in Mesopotamia to survive a global flood, and that an ark could ever be constructed that could hold millions of animals (and food for all of them, for 40 days) and be seaworthy, is so ludicrous on the face of it that you'd need much, much stronger evidence than this to even get a serious hearing. I mean, what about the small detail that some species of animal eat others? Or that we're expecting EVERY SINGLE ONE of those remaining pairs of animal species to a) survive the trip, b) successfully breed, c) Somehow overcome the genetic difficulties in being the only two progenitors of a species.

Intelligent Design Academy the question of odds are irrelevant. With enough time and raw material, ultra rare events will by definition occur. What do biologists and chemists say about this phenomenon? They’re clearly saying it can happen because they are not drawing your conclusion. .So why have you not convinced them they’re wrong? Tap dancing t avoid direct answers because you don’t want t be saddled with the implication of your answer is dishonest. Veiled religious threats are nothing new to me. IF the Christian god exists, it’s an immoral thug that doesn’t deserve respect to say nothing about worship. You’re leaning on it’s mob boss nature heavily here, just like a piece of shit. Setting up impossible standards of evidence to disprove something not demonstrable in order to allegedly change your mind is also dishonest. The burden of proof is on the claim. Not the response to it.

@@intelligentdesignacademy3460 And yet they the actual experts (not you or I) don't buy your claims. So you failed. Throwing up claims and saying that scientists can't explain x, therefor my specific god is a bullshit argument from ignorance fallacy. Rare things can happen the very first iteration. It doesn't require enough time to attempt every single possible situation before the one you find so improbable and relevant happened. Maybe in the series, life was the 5th combination tried, and it worked.. Your assertions are useless until you can convince the scientific community it's true, which you clearly haven't. Biologists aren't positing that abiogenisesis was necessarily a design by a god. Not AT ALL. So you're a liar to claim they are in any way. They ONLY posit natural explanations. You posit the foolish ones. You also seem to be treading awfully close to conspiracy theory territory.... If that's your strategy, you'll be counted among the flat earthers and anti vaxxers as failures of the education systems.

@@intelligentdesignacademy3460 The "moral argument" for God's existance is a crock. Saying, "If God doesn't exist, that means there's no cosmic super-judge decreeing what is moral, and that's not acceptable to me", is not a valid argument. Saying, "We feel that things are right and wrong, therefore there must be an objectively true absolute moral standard which only God can provide" is self-refuting, since we cannot know anything objectively based solely on our feelings- only reason and observation can allow us anything close to an objective assessment of anything, including moral claims.

@@intelligentdesignacademy3460 1) The fact that you keep hearing the "God of the gaps" line might bore you, but that sure don't make it untrue. 2) "As Sherlock Holmes' famous dictum goes..." Need I remind you that Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character? In the real world, we are rarely if ever in a position to come to a positive conclusion based on such a process of elimination, and that is particularly true of fields where there are still huge gaps in our knowledge. Where such gaps exist, we simply don't know enough to eliminate all the options but one. And if we allow unfalsifiable propositions (like, "some all-powerful being made it all, because all-powerful beings can do anything") to be considered, it becomes utterly impossible (since we cannot reasonably eliminate any unfalsifiable proposition if we allow any to be considered.) So we can't say, "Universe-starting magic space yehtis did it; starting up universes by mating and giving birth to singularites is just what they do", is impossible, can we? And if we can't, your proposed process of elimination is a non-starter.
