I like you. I work in Compliance too. This was a great video that is factual without like...attacking the brand. Subscribed immediately as I x'ed out of adept's page to buy the Ketracel palette lol.

This was a thought provoking video. You’re the first person I’ve seen say anything less than perfect regarding this pallet and I appreciate it because if it broke up my foundation I would be sad. I’m too red (malar rash) for risks. Lol. One thing I was wondering though, as you mentioned bigger companies and their financials. Is it possible bigger brands receive bulk pricing from their suppliers, lowering the costs? I know even indie brands… some are companies with several employees while others are just the owner doing everything. Indie brands most likely will not get the same treatment as large corporations with public records. A lot of companies, that have owners that don’t come from accounting backgrounds will often spot check pricing through their competitors and I wonder how much of that is happening as well? Just an echo chamber of pricing, which I see happening in other industries.

Yes! you are right. I am planning on covering the economies of scale concept (bulk pricing discounts etc) in a future video, an example would be Glamlite which is experiencing this phenomena with their recent growth. Since I am used to working with public financials, I skipped in this video that indie brands don't have those 😁. About pricing, remaining competitive price wise is important, I see quite a bit of angry feedback from customers towards indie brands that raise prices out of nowhere, even though that indie brand may be doing the best they can with the deal that they get from their suppliers 🧐 I suppose that is what owning a business is, carefully navigating the manufacturing issues while trying to prove the value of their products to customers. I don't envy them lol

Thank you for addressing high prices! Would you ever think about going through a company's financial statements and talk about why you think their profit margins are unethically high? Also, why did you choose not to name the companies you discussed? This isn't a criticism, I'm just curious about your thought process. Finally, I adore your earrings!

Sure I will do that at some point. Didn’t name companies because that wasn’t in the scope of this video, this was supposed to be more general. I prefer to do more comprehensive brand reviews separately. Thanks for watching!

I am not buying anymore patrick ta eyeshadow palettes because of the mold many consumers find--they need to reformulate, I'd rather have preservatives in cosmetics than risk getting mold on me. Clean beauty is just a marketing scheme anyway
