Emberton, Hale is a real place in the UK around the Buckinghamshire area (the script mentions both, the mention of Hale, the description of other parts of the country as "warm" and the general climate and foliage confirms it as being in England). It also seems to take place between 1900 and 1914 given the Newspaper that was posted talks about women wanting the right to vote, and ivory herself said "just came back from the 1900s", and the Women's Suffrage movement in the UK was its most active between these years, until the outbreak of the First World War and the major groups campaigning for women's suffrage decided to lend their full support to the UK government, both to increase their chances of getting the right to vote after the war for contributing and also to ensure that their work wouldn't just be lost to an invading country.

Brining up the camera shots, it really catches the mansions isolation. It may look very busy on the inside, but its kind of like time stands still once you step outside of the mansion. For example, the forest looks very still when Ivory walks to the garden.

I actually got vibes of "The Shining" from the mansion. The long silent shots of the empty halls and exterior gardens. Perhaps as the story unfolds people will start leaving the mansion, leaving even more empty halls. Areas once bustling with activity now filled with an eerie, malevolent silence.

When you talked about the woods there was a quick two or three second frame of ivory looking out into the woods with gates or bars of some sort and then it shoots back to her and then again to the woods with instead of no gates was just a sole focus of the woods. This happened when she was cleaning her duster outside btw I hope I’m not insane and also saw that shot.

It seriously needs more attention. The camerawork is exceptional, the music is ALL made by Ivory. Something I loved was one of the last shots, the one where everybody was walking. The camera rotating instead of panning, something we haven't seen before, capturing the essence of the suspense perfectly. It's exceptional.

I feel like the scene with the two windows is definitely symbolism of a missing partner, he seems to be the cheeriest in front of others, but when he's alone he just stands there pondering, so he definitely seems lonely. And as much as I'm not the biggest fan of main character relationships because they feel so forced so often, I feel like it's set up well enough that I wouldn't be upset about it if it happened here or anything. Ivory can play the piano, so she clearly has some sort of education beyond what would be normal for especially a maid, despite seemingly being a bit socially unaware, so there would be reason for her to catch his curiosity.

I wrote a "review" on the main video, but I didn't really get to talk about my theories on whitepine. This is not really a theory, just what I think what the main theme is going to be through the series. I think the main theme is going to center around how trauma effects people. It's vague but that is the best bet I have with the theme. From the dialogue between Clownpierce and Minutech, it could be inferred that something happened to give Ivory her non-descript mental disability. And when you mention Ms. Hemlock, I do think she is missing/dead. Probably for a year or so as though the piano has been moved downstairs, Seraraptor talks of her is a more recent cadence, and Pyro (The guy looking out the window) having bad dreams (This is a completely wild guess) could be because of a recent loss in the family. Also, when you talk about if Emberton is a country or not, I think Seraraptor says that Emberton is within the Kingdom of Hale. So I do think Emberton is a city, especially since Ton is used in city names a lot. My big theory is that Whitepine is actually going to be a psychological thriller with minor supernatural and political elements to it. We are inside the head of Ivory, and because of her non-descript mental disability, we may not see the whole truth. Starting around the 15:19 mark of the video, we see Ivory disassociate which could again be from her non-descript mental disability. A big question in Whitepine is "What happened to Ivory/What's wrong with her?" And I think its early childhood PTSD. Yes, I think Whitepine is going to pull a dexter. The story is going to revolve around her figuring out herself and wtf is going on in Whitepine manor. Overtime, we see what happened to her along with other people in the manor like Pyro and Seraraptor. When it comes to the supernatural, the woods are going to be something in the story. Whether it is a beast, or something like bohemian grove, we have to wait. I do think something dangerous is in the woods however, beyond the gate in one scene, we see a massive gap of deforested land. Whether this is just something pretty or so the residents can see what's coming out, we again, have to see. The political part could be something with Honors Emberton libertarian party and that damned Shipment. From the name of the party, it's probably small and almost like a gentlemen's club. They could be high society, and have been trying to either kick or indoctrinate the Hemlocks, and the shipment could have illegal contraband for the party, or for the forest. All this, we will see soon. i hope. GIVE ME EPISODE 2!

It's most likely a town in the UK between 1900-1914 (based off the Newspaper post referencing and ivory's own messages in #announcements in her discord server about "Being back from the 1900s") As for the political part - I think the Emberton Wire's Newspaper gives a lot of insight too. It talks about capitalism and suppressive 1800s-1900s masculinity. Liberal economics (which is what Libertarianism professes itself to stand for) was also a tremendously big issue in the UK back at this time, and power kept flipping between the Whigs (Liberal Party) and the Tories (Conservative Party).

I definitely think we could be dealing with an unreliable narrator. I assumed that the character could've endured something to make her so demure and agreeable (in a bad way). However, I would also act like that in an unfamiliar environment.. so I didn't know if it meant anything.

I also wrote a reply, and here it is. I just want to share it lol 😅 (I copy pasted it from my reply on the video, it’s under another comment) another comment, I want to sum up what I’ve said and add some stuff that I’ve thought over (in my second reply) I think that Ivory has a dark past that involves kidnapping of some sort? (Just a theory) So the part where clownpierce told her “you can eat lunch without my permission” feels very intentional, as in the word choice. It feels like it implies that in Ivory’s past, she wasn’t allowed to eat lunch, or food, without permission. Also, she doesn’t talk much but like others talking, right? It might just be a normal personality trait, but with other hints given, it feels more like she was living alone, or didn’t have company most of the time, because she likes listening right? And she doesn’t talk much, or isn’t good at talking, probably because she was in bad conditions with no one to talk to. If we’re taking her skin literally, which I don’t think we are, but just IF, she has a giant scar across her eye. It’s probably a result of some sort of attack. (Assuming we take her skin literally, but I don’t think it is, because mysty is probably not literally a cat in this universe) (Stuff in the last comment) She takes orders literally and very seriously right? But she’s never worked in servitude before, so I’m thinking that it’s because of her past, which I mentioned at the top of my comment here. She also has no care for her own well being, probably because she wasn’t very well / healthy before. Ivory also mentioned that she’s worked a job before, and that she’s not from around this part of the country. I think that she’s running away from something, and decided to escape across the country. Otherwise, she could’ve just found a job near where she lived before? Anyways, these are just things I noticed. None of it is proven true, just theories :D (Things to note) Ivory was staring at the trophies in that one room for a while, and I honestly don’t know why. Someone should look into that cus I can’t figure it out lol 😅

@@BOBBo-xj9kd I think you're kidnapping theory may be true. That's smart. If she was kidnapped at a young age it would explain lots of her problems you mentioned. As you say that, I do think Ivory was a victim of human trafficking. Probably an orphan on the streets and forced to work in a secondary sector of the economy. Possibly for a rich peaky blinders like gang. Producing a whole lot of illegal contraband or being part of a money laundering scheme. She somehow escaped, found minutech, and went to work for the hemlocks to try to find a safe place to live. What's safer than a isolated mansion? Especially with a possibly powerful gang, the only way to get them off is money. Does clownpierce even pay Ivory? Did Minutech sell her off to the same situation, but better looking? What ever happened, Ivory is in the center of this, and she can't get out of a personal hell. I do hope this covers topic of worker exploitation. This is a story about a maid in a mansion. Whitepine's (the mansion not show) system should be Criticized, and explore how the rich people are apathetic to the horrors the poor have to experience. For the trophy part, it's possibly a memory of her old life, before she was traumatized. She could have been a skilled horse racer or rugby or some other stupid british sport. Or the complete opposite, and trophies were commonly seen when she was kidnapped, seeing trophies of horse races and other sports that this gang could have cheated in like seen in peaky blinders, and this could have just been a disturbing memory. A reminder that this place is not so different than the last. Either way, this is but a fraction of my yapping.

Maybe I'm looking too far into this, but I'm not so sure they mean animals. Especially because of how dark the forest seems to be. My guess is either they're hunting the monster, or people.

At 13:48, after they bump into the oldest sibling out side the cellar [or what ever it was] the camera follows Ivory and then we get what I assume is a POV shot of him falling behind a pillar. This also seems to be a moment with louder music than the rest, but that last part might not be important

I honestly can't decide whether to theorize or just wait for the next episode lol. Like, what you took as a sign of something in the forest, I took as the second sign that there's some sort of connection between Ivory and plants, after the garden earlier, which to me combines with the fact that she knows piano to make it seem like she has some sort of secret backstory where her family was well off enough for her to have piano lessons, before presumably being kicked out or something for some reason. The fact she seems to shy away from talking much and seems to have self worth issues (like having to be told she's allowed to participate in lunch) also seems to hint at a not great past though, so maybe she ran away instead?

Bro this was a great video, just popped up on my fyp after watching whitepine and I loved your thoughts and really clever observations on the video, you and your channel are seriously underrated, I hope you get the recognition you deserve! Just subbed too, can't wait to see more stuff you make in the future! Also theory/question: The piano is in the basement for some kind of reason, which is strange, and earlier in the film we see someone (I think it was serapter) tell us that someone used to play the piano a ton but doesn't any more, that the room wasn't used now. I think this is interesting, since pianos are very difficult to move, and that if the piano is the same one mentioned (that wasn't played anymore) there would have to be a very good reason to put it down in the basement. Clownpierce is also very hesitant for Ivory to play the piano, could that be for a reason? I have no clue who the killer is, but a lot of the evidence supports that Ivory could have killed Mysty, could somehow the piano be linked to the murder? Seems very odd for Ivory to find a piano, in a basement, want to play it and only play it for a few frames, to be nothing? just a fun clip of the film? Not likely. I think the piano will have great importance as the Whitepine story continues. Idk if any of this will turn out to be true and my rambling may be going nowhere but I thought this was worth sharing :)

When you mention the forest, i have my own train of thought that the forest is some sort of symbol instead somenone in there, and i t thibk its supposed to symbolize mystery/mystique, which is how we shoudl be feeling about the characters that look to the forest, like how you said about the oldest son looking out at the forest and also Ivory looking towards the forest, they both hold an aura of mystery which i think was showcased somehqat when he catches Seraptor and Ivory at the liquor storage, specially when Ivory loosk abck and his gaze is hidden after we pass the pilar. But i feel like there will be a second syblol that the forest holds that we dont know yet, but whats for sure that it holds significace especially when you thibk of the name WhitePINE Pine being a type of tree, so trees are very symbolic in the rp film, and i cant wait for more

6:03. I think the forest is a distraction. Whitepine is already an unconventional story, with shots of characters standing there in silence, and sharp cuts (like when Ivory begins to play the piano). Whtepine's unconventional-ism has primed me to expect the exact opposite of what standard movies do. Standard movies might have a shadow creeping around in the forest, and put extra emphesise on the forest, but I think in Whitepine, thats just a distraction. In fact, I think Ivory is the one who murdered the guy at the end of the episode/movie. Ivory isn't freaking out. She's just standing there. That might be due to shock, or her introverted and quite nature, but I think thats not it. Usually, the main character doesn't commit murder (unless its a movie about specifically a killer, which Whitepine isn't directly marketed as). And since Whitepine isn't following convention, I think Ivory is the one who killed the person at the end.

I think I have an idea of the entire plot 😭 I think ivory’s past is chasing her and could have something to do with the murder of _ .Like something in the woods. And the eldest son I think what you said about the window is true as I think he’s missing his mother as I think his mother’s either dead or away somewhere. But yeh that’s what I think so far as ivory also was stuttering when she was saying why she doesn’t talk a lot she said “m..my” could have something to do with her parents or something to do with her past and what she was taught. She also takes everything literally just like minutetech did as the start to Mr pierce ( Clown) but I honestly don’t know I could just be overthinking?😅 sorry. there is definitely something with the forest as she looks into it at the very start of the play and then she continues to look at the forest though the episode miss H is missing currently weather or not she’s murdered or missing or even away. The butler could be a fake even.

My favourite thing was the whole time I was like what’s the point in this what is happening and why is it so slow and quiet and then at the end the murder happened and I was like ohhhhh it’s a murder mystery this is gonna be fun then it just ends
