It hit me a few weeks ago when my doctor of all people said he wanted to invest in my company. Told some friends and one of em also said the same. I remember seeing and being really touched by the mini-documentary about Brandon Novak in the special features of the Haggard DVD like 15 years ago. Both Ryan Dunn and Bam were the best friends a guy like Brandon could get, and it was sad to see the struggle going on behind-the-scenes of the CKY and Jackass movies. I have become very spiritual and have a higher power that I have a close relationship with and have a group of supportive people that are also former active users and a therapist to make sure I keep in check and don't fall off the wagon and use again.

That's one thing that I always really liked about Bam, he kept it real and stayed in his hometown of good old W.C. instead of going all Hollywood and shit..I grew up in Downingtown which is only about 8 miles from W.C. so it was cool being able to run into them every now and again I remember one time I sat 2 seats in front of Bam at an Eagles game and didnt even know it till my buddy pointed him out, he definitely put that area on the map!!!

Today is my 2nd year of sobriety. If you have an underlying condition like depression, though, I must warn that the rewards you feel might not be the same as other addicts who quit. Your life and efficacy may improve but depression may rob you of any sense of joy from it. I'm telling you this just in case you're dual diagnosis like me and feel confused as to why all the other recovering addicts seem to be feeling better while you're still experiencing anxiety, anger, irritability, boredom, sadness, sense of doom, thoughts of suicide, fatigue, memory loss, paranoia, etc. We're dual diagnosis our trajectory is different. Progress might not be accompanied by any sense of relief or accomplishment.
