Loved the reaction of the other writer when stephen talked about his rock music.

She seems like the typical cat lady who writes about dragons and has a collection of dolls. Steve-O's an ex Mill-worker who made it big....and it shows.

It's so refreshing to listen to King talk. He is down-to-earth and at the same time very articulate. Audrey and the interviewer just sound so stuffy in comparison.

Stephen King is one of the greats in writing. Iam yet to read from the other writer, that lady. I wrote in silence sometimes and with music going on sometimes. But i get to somewhere into the story in a few minutes forgetting my surroundings and music. Nowadays i prefer silence while writing.

3:18 made me love Stephen King!!! He's so awesome. Too bad I'm too much of a wimp to ever read his books.

i have to scribble an entire book or script on notebook paper first before i begin typing on the computer, this is my way of actually seeing, hearing and visualizing my work! for scripts, i switch the music sort of like the score of a movies that you are watching! music drives a movie! Sly Stallone was the master of that! every one of his movies have a fitting soundtrack!

I was very moved by your comments. On the one hand, you are completely right: it is very easy to romanticize the life of a writer, when in fact it's often an awkward, difficult and lonely life. But if your daughter has something in her that needs expression, there's nothing to do but encourage her. She will find connection eventually, with other like-minded people. Good luck, and take care.

King is so down to earth. The women seem so stuck up, like the interviewer being like "seriously?!" when King says he listens to rock music while writing, she acted like he said he was a martian.

her voice is so monotone, its quite anoying. king is such a genuine guy, you can tell the ordinary people who become rich from the people whove always wanted to be rich and famous developing large egos, that might be the difference here

Niffenegger comes off as awkward and wooden in this interview. At no point do I get personality seeping through and she sits like a statue the entire time. As for Stephen, he really is the King!
