The carnival goes along the bottom of road I live in.... And still at 11pm there was so many people around,I am in Westbourne west london .. I went out at 10.30 to go to shop,( to the haters....I am saying this,because I saw this) There was not any white people except for me... I didnt go see the carnival,so thought it would be quiet at 10.30. There was about 20 groups of 12 or so people out side the shop I needed to go in...the black guys said when they saw me... oi move,make way for this lady..they all moved..said hello to me..I am 68 and in bad health,It shows I am unwell. The black guys mid 20s were lovely to me,as I was crossing the road to go home,there was groups all talking,and 2 black girls came said are you OK do you want us to help you cross the road... So I think we need more police..even at that time of night not one policeman. They were all laughing and in good moods,no fighting or any anger to be seen.but that's after the carnival.. ******** I used to go to carnival before I moved to London,its not the same,20 yrs ago.i don't remember any stabbings or saw any fights... It's this knife crime that's saturated this country.. I woukd live to say how I feel we could change this problem but we can't comment now.

When I was young. All boys carried knives - mostly pen knives , but sometimes sheath knives. They were considered an acceptable gift by parents, they were never used to stab people. We used to play a game called "splits"; two boys facing each other would take turns to throw their knives into the ground. Provided that one's knife stuck in , one's opponent would stretch out to put his foot where the knife was , pick it (the knife)up and hand it back to it's owner, before taking his turn to throw. Thus the object was to make one's opponent perform literally "the splits" . The first boy to fall down would be the loser of the bout. We played this game openly in the school field. Teachers without batting an eye, would walk past us as we were throwing knives about. Those were the days before traitors decided to dismantle 1000 years of societal evolvement and benign civilisation, in order to appease a flash in the pan ideology, that has already proven itself to not work - multiple times. The lost days of the pen knife boys, were before Blair when traitors could still be executed ; a time when it would have been very ambiguous for a serving politician to be a member of - or show loyalty to a powerful body operating outside our jurisdiction, and borders. Today we are governed by the Davos set who show no conflict of interest - they are simply not interested in us, their only interest in the UK lies in the valuable real estate beneath our feet. A land upon which they see us as deplorable legacy squatters, to be diluted and replaced. I look back with sad nostagia to the innocence of the pen knife boys, and feeling the contrast with the ongoing conflagration in which we live now is saddening. Knives are a tool, they don't perform stabbings, the people by whom they are wielded do. And the wielding of knives as weapons is now culturally acceptable. The Carnival has outgrown the space, I saw video of people having to be lifted over boarded up areas because they were being crushed. If there was an issue people could be seriously injured or killed if panic broke out. It needs to be moved to a wider more safe area.

I live In Barlby Rd which is one of the main exits out of the carnival once everywhere shuts down and the amount of people hanging around unpoliced afterwards until the early hours of the morning is disgusting, we are not protected by the council or anyone and left to let these people run riot destroying and defecating on our properties. I still don't believe it should be banned , I believe the issue is the sound systems, these should all be moved to Hyde park and leave the carnival alone, this would get rid of all the riff raff and be easier to police in a controlled area.
