I have not had a TV in 32 years but during covid my daughter returned home after an abusive relationship so I bought a TV licence while she was living with me for her to enjoy to do the right thing and stopped paying when she left to live in her own house - I have since been harrassed by the TV people and I explained my situation but at 78 am still getting troubling letters

I refuse to spend my money buying writing paper, envelope and a stamp, I even refuse to use the internet to get in contact as they will give your mail address to BBC studio's who will then pass it on to another company, your mail address is now known to about 100 different parts of that company who work for many, many institutions. They now have your name, address and email.

Our step dad died earlier this year our home is up for sale ie it's been empty since his death. They were informed of this. They keep sending threatening letters to the occupiers. The car was stationary when I had my hand on it. The tv licence enforcement officer could clearly see I was in distress, I was leaning on his car because I was unstable on my feet. He was told no thank you at my door and should of left, he had no right to put any part of his body over my doorstep or assault me by throwing the visit slip at me in a taunting way (twice). I simply got the strength from somewhere and felt the need to return his visit slip to him. I am still in pain and discomfort. The after effect is going to be a slow healing process.

I keep getting letters from the BBC say I've been caught using iplayer on Wednesday at 2.03 in the afternoon at this time I was at the Sheffield cancer hospital with my daughter for her chemotherapy my wife was there also only the dog was at home. The second warning came saying I'd watched iplayer at 2.03 in the afternoon again we at hospital for my daughter chemotherapy I can't believe we should be getting letters at this very difficult time and I can say hand on heart I've never used iplayer since i cancelled the BBC tax

If you've only moved into your current address within the last few years it could be an email address from a previous tenant that's still associated with your current address that's accessing iPlayer. TV Licensing have been farming people's data from dodgy data collection agencies recently. They're probably breaching the Data Protection Act in some way by doing this too.

That was the one thing we did not miss since leaving the UK, here in Australia we don’t have a TV Licence fees. We can watch anything we want on TV, not that there is anything worth watching. Our TV has not been turned on in over 8-9 years now. I found it astonishing that there are only half a dozen countries in the world that do not charge for a TV licence and they are working quite well, no wonder the BBC are fighting a losing battle of trying to ban the internet🤣😂🤣😂which will never happen because 99% of the world are happy to pay the monthly subscription with their internet provider and through that they have access to so much more. Nope the BBC are fighting a losing battle and them going from Door to Door trying to scare people into complying is only going to speedup the fall of TV.

I pay for a TV Licence monthly because I watch live TV. I don't want to pay for it as my monthly income is under £500, and I live alone. But I don't want them bashing my door and harassing me. I'm disabled like that lady, and 65 in a couple of weeks. I only go out for an hour once a week to get food as that's all I'm well enough to do. So my TV keeps me company. I don't like the BBC, and don't watch any MSM on TV, but I watch lots of programmes on ITV, Channel 4 and 5, and Free view channels. Plus the off film on the BBC. So I need a licence.
