Best statement i have read , i fell of my chair laughing , you are so Right, that Leftie Idiot , this is why we need these woke idiots to be buried under the sand forever , what i do not understand is why does not ever body see that we should only help hard working people , i am sorry but this oh we must feel sorry for you is only creating more and more laziness in our society and that is a fact , invest money in our own country like state funded training to teach school leavers a trade , it does not work with businesses doing it , simply because young people are not loyal to their masters. they leave after you have invested 50/80k training them , lets be honest a business does not make money from an apprentice he or she costs us money and when you get them to the finished article if that happens as most of them do not even have any common sense or a decent work ethic they leave because somebody has offered them 10.00 pounds a week more than you pay them , There master that taught them their trade, put up with them being late for work , waiting outside their house because they cant get their arse out of bed every day , feeding them at work because they cannot manage there money , small businesses simply will not and cannot afford to train young people anymore , and immigration does not help either, as cheap labour does nothing and only adds to the small businesses problem and makes things even worse. so stop sending our money abroad and do not waste our tax payers money on people that are not our problem, Invest Money here it is not rocket science , instead of saying if you do not pay we will take it away , try this one if you do not make the effort to work we will Stop your Benifits and not pay your rent and you will be on the street And Homeless Period ,

Printing money to pay for public sector workers is an inflationary action. It inflates the money supply.
@sbor20207 күн бұрын
Not necessarily. Printing money can be inflationary if it increases demand beyond what the economy can supply. But if there’s unused capacity (like high unemployment), it might not lead to inflation. Also, tax cuts for the wealthy are inflationary since they increase spending power for those who are less likely to save, adding to demand. So, ironically, voting Reform UK could actually increase inflation.

Just to educate you if It's at all possible. Politicians and media commentators tell us that it comes from taxes. Taxes are collected and the government spends that money - until it’s all gone. At that point, ‘there’s no money left to fund nurses pay increases’. However, there’s a flaw in that understanding. That isn’t how currency-sovereign governments work. Taxes don’t pay for government spending. So, what is the reality of it all? In the UK, what happens in practice is that the government asks the Bank of England to spend whatever is required to fulfil their policy agenda. And, unlike the tax story told by politicians, the government can never run out of money. The UK government has a monopoly on the production of UK pounds and the Bank of England has a legal responsibility to respond to every government request. So, despite what you hear on your TV or read in our paper, lack of finance is never a barrier to government spending.

Public sector 'businesses' do not need to make a profit in order to exist. They don't even need to just 'balance the books'. All they need to do is put their hand out for more money. If businesses in the private sector do not make a profit in order to reinvest and grow then they would go out of business.
@johnburns401710 күн бұрын
_Public sector 'businesses' do not need to make a profit in order to exist._ Correct. They aid the private sector to operate and create wealth. London is wealthy because private organisations flock to the city because of the publicly provided top rate infrastructure.

I pay when I go to my NHS dentist. I pay tax so all services are paid for. The argument is; should the people that do the actual work be paid what they are worth, or should the profits go to private investors that sit on their fat investments all day. Don't pay and productivity goes down, in whatever for that takes. The end result is a loss.

Young people suffering from anxiety is down to two main things. Spending so much time on their phones and social media instead of living a natural life, where they develop crucial mental skills. And the other is hearing adults constantly affirm their 'anxiety' and bang on about it all the time and then prescribing they need extra help and sympathy instead of telling them it's life and learn to deal with it. It will get much easier when you start actually growing up
@jwsuicides809518 күн бұрын
I was pretty shocked when he went to the cottonwool-balling of young people. To sound like the oldest cliche going made by the oldest f*rts going: There are many real reasons for people to grow up broken, just as there's always been, and they need early help and support for that. However, it's now trendy to be anxious and to have normal teenage angst through the growing up years to be treated so preciously. Treatment won't help because there's nothing to treat - just the usual pangs of growing up. That's not to denigrate those with real mental health issues and those suffering with PTSD from real trauma.

I see social media posts saying congratulations for getting through 2024 like we’ve been at war or had a pandemic or famine. Why do people keep perpetuating the harmful myth that life is hard for us is the west. A lot of them are over indulged, self absorbed brats who have never had a really hard day in their lives. Keeping up a ‘poor you’ mantra is very destructive.
