Boris Johnson has accused Nigel Farage of a “morally repugnant” repetition of Vladimir Putin’s justification for the invasion of Ukraine.
The former prime minister, who has championed the UK’s support of Ukraine, accused the Reform UK leader of spreading “Kremlin propaganda”.
Mr Farage said he was not an “apologist” for the Russian president but “what I have been saying for the past 10 years is that the West has played into Putin’s hands, giving him the excuse to do what he wanted to do anyway”.
Mike Graham clashes with former Defence Select Committee chair Tobias Ellwood over the remarks.

If they can spend billions and have another army fight a war for them they'll do it as they believe it makes them look good at the ballot box, if it involves sending our own troops they aren't half as keen as that can be a vote loser. Remember these are British politicians who ONLY care about being elected, nothing else matters.

@@sallywilton2236 'He is roundly considered an idiot by all Russia/Ukraine experts.' Including Piers Morgan no doubt, who, being of your frame of mind, was recently given a very a rude awakening by Jeffrey Sachs (the interview is readily available on KZbin). Never mind biographies of Chefs-turned-military entrepreneurs, Farage is correct regarding NATO expansion since the end of the cold war (when Russia withdrew from Europe and the USA did not). Ukraine's active participation in NATO war games is akin to the Soviet Union's 1962 introduction of missiles into Cuba (the USA had already stationed such in Turkey, but that was presumed not to count). Whether on an international or domestic scale, one cannot simply do things on a piece of land, or territory, without giving due consideration to the neighbours. The USA's belligerence in this respect has brought the current situation about, commencing with CIA involvement in the 2014 Maidan coup - yet another instance of their 'exporting democracy' through the overthrow of an already elected government.

If we had listened then (instead of being brainwashed by those elite controllers of our tvs that so hate us - and taught us all like lemmings to say “racist!!! Racist!!! Fascist!!! The Minsk agreement was negotiated to keep Putin quiet for a few years so nato could expand. None of this is for the good of the British people, the more our politicians strut on their world stage making friends the poorer we become as a nation because they give away our assets and cash very freely.

Democracies are most vulnerable from the inside and we let the extreme (doesn't matter left or right) in politically. That has over several generations pushed to to the ridiculous activism we see today, along with the destruction of the education system, and continual reductions in military spending. The dictators have at least tried to keep their military spending up.

@@jeffsimon9594 the only reason Nato and Russia will go to war is because war mongering death dealers like Ellwood push for it. Russia will not attack a Nato member.
