If Steve Cooper keeps Forest up as well as a league cup semi final ,off the back of 30 signings. Should he be in the conversation for manager of the year . Especially as nobody gave us a chance .
@ctrldelete1763
@ctrldelete1763 Жыл бұрын
Nottingham Forest struggles at the start were due to those new players they bought and he will probably be spoken more often after this season ends. The man is a gem and I think he was under the wing of Liverpool's past manager Rodgers at the time or at least there was some Liverpool influence with Steve Cooper. He's not been talked about currently but his abilities will eventually do the talking.

Mane had been offered pay raise for the last two years. He chose to run down his contract to be in a strong position to politely ask to be sold and could command a big salary. That was his choice. Furthermore, it is much easier to find a pacy inverted LW than RW. Jota, Diaz, Nunez, Gapko are all fine at LW, even if they are not as good as Sadio (yet). The gap in performance is not large.

I didn't understand them getting Gakpo either. As a Man Utd fan I was pissed initially at Liverpool hijacking the deal because I didn't think they needed it as much as a midfielder perhaps. They already had Salah, Nunez, Elliot, Carvalho with Firminho, Diaz & Jota to come back from injury. But I'm content with Weghorst because of the shift he puts in & Man Utd needed a striker more than a winger. There are plenty of those at United like Rashford, Garnacho, Elanga, Pellistri, Antony & Sancho with Amad to come back in the summer.

What chelsea situation yes chelsea have spent alot of money but to get around that they have been spreading the costs over longer contracts to allow them to spend so much which isn't against any ffp rules until they are changed in the summer and the rule change won't apply to the signings they have already made I find it funny that man City have been found to have 100 breaches of Premier league ffp rules and its clearly all the City fans on trying to direct attention off City and to chelsea spending which you've watched any sports coverage you would see everyone knows how chelsea are able to spend so much now in a year or so time we will see if chelsea have breached any ffp rules but I can't imagine the owners being so stupid going out and spending 600m and breaking ffp rules cause it would be too obvious. City is different the have been charged for hiding contracts for players and manager being paid by other companies that the City owners own so it doesn't show up on the footballing accounts cause during the time this is alleged to have happened City wouldn't have anywhere near a elite club income so they wouldn't of or shouldn't of been able to spend so much

If the player plays poorly and has the wrong mental focus, what is the manager to do? He cannot strap on his boots and kick the ball for the player. Ultimately, the manager probably has to leave the player on the bench, to give him some physical and mental rest. With the injuries right now, there is little wiggle room for Klopp. He can put on Phillips for Matip and Jones for Thiago, but those moves are unlikely to bring a sudden turnaround. As for Klopp's handling of the press, it is perfectly okay for the press to whine about that. But it is most definitely whining when they ask the same question of Klopp for the 29th time and they do not like the tone of the answer. Klopp results to rubbish his players or his employer in front of the microphone, even if he ends up looking ridiculous doing so.

Not a Liverpool fan but Klopp is definitely not the problem at Liverpool. Would take him any day of the week. Before Klopp Liverpool were close but no cigar. If Liverpool want to get rid of the best manager they’ve ever had probably since Kenny Dalglish, maybe even since Bob Paisley. They’d be fools to rip the carpet under him. Some of those players need a good hard stern talking to and some youth needs to displace them that is willing to listen to the manager and follow through on his instructions. Stand by the manager and bollock the players. If you let the players rule the roost now, you’ll have this problem forever.

The whole squad and coaches at liverpool must be mentally burned out from last seasons efforts & pressures plus the task of beating wolves to climb to 9th as opposed to winning games to win titles champions leagues and domestic cups...injuries aren't great but that's an excuse

Why would the big 6 want to give up the financial leverage they have over their European counterparts by joining the ESL (whichever guise it takes) without the big 6 the ESL doesn't have the same weight evident by the collapse of the plans last time around when the english clubs pulled out. Currently the english clubs can attract players by offering better contracts, if the financial leverage is neutralised then players will be more inclined to join other european heavyweights thereby increasing the level of competition. Surely the power play is to not join the ESL and maintain the financial leverage they currently enjoy?

I think Ten Hag doesn’t get the credit he deserves, I remember pundits and x players commenting on the past that United players never look like they’re developing at the club ,plus players that have come from other clubs also get worse. Look at those players now rashford,shaw, diloat, etc ,Ten Hag deserves a lot of credit as A Top Manager

Klopp is up there as one of Liverpool's best managers. The injury toll this season is as bad as it's ever been and the knock-on effect is expected. Klopp should be asking why is this and look at the backroom and medical staff, maybe there is something within the club. Would be the place to start. Jesus if he goes, they will go with Gerrard and that would be a mistake.

In my opinion Simon, I do believe Klopp has lost the dressing room. I believe Mane was the leader cos he started the revolution of Liverpool and I believe Klopp used to shout at Mane and he could take it and when he returned to the pitch he showed his worth. I say this because Robbo and Klopp spoke about 19/20 Aston Villa game where Liverpool equalised and won late. They spoke about an argument breaking out and almost coming to blows but we wouldn't have known that from that game. I believe as soon as Mane left, Klopp chose another and that was Fabinho but he pushed back and basically said something along the lines of "Don't talk to me like that, I'm not Sadio" The rumours of the falling out with Fabinho began before the PL started and it showed in his performance. Also, the players became complacent cos the media gassed them up, you all praised a handful of players to a fault. You (The media) not you in particular. Trent, Salah, Van Dijk, Thiago, Alisson, Henderson were overly praised at the detriment of the other players. For Instance, At the start of last season everyone was calling including his teammates Salah the best in the world. When he passed 100 PL goals videos where released and the PL channel did a video that same and so did the Liverpool KZbin channel. When Mane made the 100 goals mark, only PL channel gave him a video, I understand that Liverpool channel couldn't do video cos some of those goals were Southampton but their other social media didn't give him no videos. It took Van dijk and Milner to talk to the media that Mane scored 100 goals too. Also, When salah was poor second half of the season, Mane carried us but his teammates and fans couldn't give him his due. It even got worse that they didn't Celebrate his Afcon win and World Cup Qualification cos it was cos he defeated Salah. Messi beat France and PSG gave him an applause and celebration. Liverpool did no such thing for Mane. Even if he said don't do it, if it was Salah that won no one Would have listened to his request to no Celebrate. Come contract, Klopp chose Salah over Mane when he could have gone in there before signing his contract to have demands or rather letting Mane leave for free. Jota learnt from Mane and watch him play like him. Trent was praised so much Robertson rarely got any credit. Matip was really good last season, better than Van dijk but he got no credit for his hardwork. Henderson was given all the awards when we won the league. That was Mané's year but the media chose Henderson for talking on the pitch. Mane and Gini were called greedy when they asked for more money, now people make it seem like they always wanted to leave.
