Ronaldo cries when he falls short of the high standards that he sets himself. England players like Bellingham, Rice & Kane go into denial and blame the media for criticising them. I rest my case.

He goes into denial by playing in our national team. That's the biggest denial and it will cost us " Portugal" another tournament. Portugal has won tons of youth European cups yet we're not using them. Use Spain as a example of what giving youth with fresh legs looks like

If you watched the whole game you can understand why emotions got the better of Ronaldo. This guys carried Portugal and picked others up off the floor for years, yet he gets criticised the one time he shows vulnerability and it’s his team mates who come to his aide. If anything this show of emotion from Ronaldo galvanised the Portugal side in the shootout. There’s nothing wrong with showing emotion even if you are the leader and captain.

What many people don't understand about the Cristiano tears was, the progress of Portugal to the quarter final was just been thrown away by that miss, and majority of the players on the pitch would have stay away from the kick when Ronaldo was on the pitch. Yes there were 15 mins to played in extra time both what happened to the full 90 mins played, Portugal doesn't win at full time and people believe they could still make it happened in less than 15 mins to penalty shootout which is anybody's game. He may well want it for himself but he wants it for his country too....no doubt....the fact his team mates went to him at that moment shows what they think of him...He's their leader and talisman and the fact he got up off the floor and took that pen after 30 mins of that crushing moment shows he's got some bottle

It's pure selfishness- he's missed tonnes of penalties in his career, and shrugged it off. It was the realisation his only possibility of actually scoring was in that moment, his team and the match arnt as important

Pure ignorance from you actually. This isn’t just a random penalty in the middle of the season. This is a big game. If he didn’t care about winning he woulnt have cried bro. And what did he do when he made that penalty in the shoutout? Showed respect and remorse to Portuguese fans for that earlier miss. Get a grip.

Ronaldo has ruined his legacy this last 4/5 years and will never be compared to Messi by anyone apart from fanboys that don't understand football. Also i don't understand why he is so unfit and can't even control the ball properly anymore? I've seen players his age that drank, ate unhealthy,had injuries more mobile than at his age? He can barely move? And normally you don't lose your touch like he has!? I reckon it's got something to do with steroids! He spent most of his career juiced but can't get away with it anymore!! There's noway a 39 yr old who has had the best of everything be that unfit? Botox and plastic surgery don't make you fitter either. He's turning himself into a burden and joke and even his fanboys can't deny it

@@dylanmatthews6836 I don’t hate Ronaldo, I think he’s great. I’m just realistic that you don’t get as good as that with those numbers without putting yourself first. If he doesn’t play for Portugal, how would be score the most international goals? Your point makes no sense and is irrelevant to whether he puts himself first. By your logic, the fact he plays a team sport must mean he values the team more than himself, which is just nonsense.
@dylanmatthews6836
@dylanmatthews6836 3 ай бұрын
I never said he wasn’t selfish. Of course he is no denying that. And everyone is especially when you’re that good. All I said was that portugal glory is more important. He even mentioned that himself. Showed that by passing to Bruno. You acting like he only played for Portugal for stats and doesn’t care about his own country, which is nonsense. In 2016 when he got hurt in final did he mope while watching on the bench? I saw him crying tears of joy when they won. Sounds like someone who wants his country to win to me. He isn’t soulless jeez.

Those who criticized Ronaldo are these experts who never play the game professionally, like this Alex Crook...Stuart Pearce, an ex international player understand the emotion. I remember Pearce missed a penalty in the shootout with Argentina in WC 1990 semi final.. it was devastating for him.. you can sensed the despair and tears in him, although he tried to control, but of course Chris Waddle took most of the blame because he was the last kicker. Then in Euro 1996, Pearce was brave enough to take a penalty in the shootout against Spain, and when the ball hit the back of the net, the whole stadium roared behind him.. Pearce punched the air and shout out loud... it was the monkey on his back that followed him for 6 years, finally put it down..
