The reason Ole was sacked is because he's clueless and couldn't manage a pub team. And the person who's decision it was to hire him should be sacked too. What possesess a business to sack the most successful club manager in the world who has a string of Premier League, La Liga and Serie A titles on his CV, then replace him with a Mark Hughes mini me whose only managerial experience was getting Cardiff relegated? It's just a ridiculous situation that should have never been allowed to happen.

@@alexavfclineham7301 Not necessarily, the team needs to take responsibility as well. A team that talented should beat Watford and Young Boys even without a manager - you have experienced players there not some academy graduates with potential. Even if United get a world class manager - which they did in Mourinho - the Glazers have a proven track record with not getting along with head strong managers over and above the fact that the new manager needs to work with a team that has no identity. Chelsea, City and Liverpool have one thing in common, and that's off the ball they work harder than any other team or match other teams run for run - United have a team of individuals who struggle to take criticism as educational.

The biggest problem is that Utd have overrated a lot of their players. AWB, Shaw and Maguire in your back 4 will win you nothing unless coached by a master tactician. Someone like Pep, Klopp who can turn a goalkeeper into a winger or some madness. Those 3 are simply average and time and time again will let down and have let down Man U. People say McFred isn't good. Even if they were, once you bypass the midfield it's a sure goal. No spatial awareness, no tackling ability. No anything

Was Ole good enough as a coach. No. but those Man Utd players should hang their heads in shame as they have cost a man his job. Maguire got the nerve to cup his ears vs Albania - then shows what a calamity he is in a Utd shirt. Mistakes every week from him.

Slamming Solskjaer for getting emotional about never managing United again is pretty ridiculous. He obviously loves the club, loves the people he worked with and it's over. He wanted to thank the supporters and the staff and as someone who's worked more than 15 years for the club, as a player a coach and a manager, I think he deserved it.

Simon Jordon needs to see a therapist to find out what's broken inside lol. That's the problem when football became too commercialised, some people focus too much on media perception and how others view things instead of looking at what football and clubs are actually about. Ole's life was largely about United, from the time they signed him as a kid, right through to him being arguably the world's best football sub, and it doesn't even end yesterday through his sacking as Manager; he's still always going to be associated with Manchester United. You have to understand that he's someone who had his dream job, just too soon in his career so when it started to fall apart and some of the fans turned on him as a person, not even as a Manager, it was necessary for the club to remind everyone that Ole is a human being, who loves and supports the club as much as we do; that him being out of his depth has nothing to do with his legend status as a player. We hear all the players and Sir Alex speak of the family atmosphere at the club so essentially they're saying he's family and let him be honoured as such in spite of these last few weeks. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Yes, it's different for Jose, Van Gaal and Moyes cos they never had a historical connection with the club. I don't think it would have been an issue if Chelsea or Newcastle did the same thing with Lampard or Shearer, but they probably weren't long enough at the clubs in managerial roles for a portion of the fans to really turn on them

The standards that we expect as United fans aren’t intrinsic to the club. Those were Sir Alex Ferguson’s standards. And Sir Matt Busby’s before him. Without an elite level manager we’re back to being a top 6, domestic cup club.

There is an mentality within the current Man U squad thats says, "I ve got me secure long term high wage contract, therefore why should I bother trying to fight to win the ball back", we all know its full of over-rated high transfer fee players who can`t handle the expectations and are losing confidence - It don`t matter what manager you employ, you won`t get out of this until you give your cosseted players a wake up call - the players need to be humbled and given a reality check on a regular basis, let them visit carehomes to see how key workers who give personal care (cook, wipe bums, washing, mountains of red tape paperwork) do on just above national minimum wage.

One of the best analysis of the situation I have heard. Man U is foreign owned and the dollar is everything to the Glazers. Share price goes down and the manager goes out. On the basis of a promise that "things can only get better" with a new manager the share price will rise, the Glazers will make more profit and the owners will be happy even if Maguire et al still lose games. Guys, sometimes we forget that football really is just a business these days. Share price not goals is king!

Simon thank you for your truthful and honest opinion. As a fan of Manchester United how I am I supposed to support them anymore if I don't want them touching my money. I don't/can't support something I don't believe in. It's not about them not winning trophies it's just how money has ruined the game and football clubs yet they need your money not your support. No thank you. Come back to me Utd only if Glaziers disappear forever. I follow football now to watch certain players like Kante, Salah and Son just to name a few. Bring back football and Sack the Buisness.

@@civildiscourse7626 When Solskjaer finished third in 19/20 he had less points than when Mourinho finished sixth who didn't bottle 3 semi finals in the same season. Solskjaer's second place last season he still had less points than Jose's second place finish. You've already said that big clubs don't care about trophies like the Europa League yet when Mourinho had no choice but to be in it and won it, then reached the knockout stages of the champions league (something Ole never did) he was still slated for losing to Sevilla but the losses to Leipzig, Istanbul and PSG was just forgotten about. Imagine the reaction if Mourinho had flopped in the Europa League and champions league in the same season. Mourinho told the players the truth and they didn't like it but they loved Ole as he mollycoddled them. Mourinho never got thrashed like Ole did against Liverpool yet he's grinning like a Cheshire cat right after and still gets praise. Any manager who says trophies are for ego's deserves to be sacked. Funny how Ole had a little dig at mourinho's second place finish but for him that's now an achievement and the fans think the same too.
