I rewatched the highlights of Fury - Ngannou and I actually think while Francis might be technically limited his unconventional style makes him awkward, he’s not afraid to get hit and he’s 270lbs of pure muscle, his solid frame & grappling experience makes him a unit on the inside. However AJ is a much better & harder puncher than Fury, his shots have more snap & accuracy, Fury is very sloppy. I like Adam Catterall, especially his BT UFC stuff, now TNT UFC. However, I'm getting pretty f-ing tired of so called experts of boxing, giving boxers excuse after excuse and lie after lie, to the boxers who fought the UFC guys. Conor Mcgregor won the rounds 1,2,3 and 4 against Floyd Mayweather, even caught him with a beautiful uppercut, which all experts said he wouldn't even lay a glove on Floyd, but Floyd Mayweather didn't through ANY punches in them 4 rounds except for about 7 kind of get off me type punches and 3 punches that didn't land, yet the judges gave them rounds to Floyd lol and the so-called experts said that Floyd carried Conor and that's the only reason it went 10 rounds 😂. Floyd is meant to be one of greatest to ever do it, and Conor was in his first professional boxing match, and you're trying to say that Floyd embarrassed himself on purpose by carrying him 10 rounds 😂😂. Conor shouldn't of been in there with him, everyone in boxing said, so instead of getting Conor out of there early like he was supposed to, he carried Conor, give me a break, plus Floyd has the win added to his tally and walks around with a 50-0 record instead of 49-0, so why are they counting it as a professional win then? The exact same b.s is happening now with Fury and Ngannou, "that version of Fury" and he didn't take it seriously. If he had another fight arranged for after Ngannou, he was obviously in his best shape because he would of been in a serious fight camp anyway. What Ngannou did, was show the world that Tyson Fury isn't as good as everyone makes him out to be. His best win was a terrible stinker of a fight against a 39 years old Klitchko, where he ran away most of the fight and then refused to fight the rematch that was in his contract. We all seen just how bad Wilder really is against Joseph Parker a couple of weeks ago, and that is meant to be Fury's 2nd best opponent lol. The one fight that Fury fought who was his mandatory fight and No.1 contender and that was Dillion Whyte. Who was kept waiting for more than 3 years for his title shot, and still had to take Fury to court to get the fight, and the poor guy obviously had to keep fighting in the meantime and knocked out cold by the former champion, which he won the rematch and was winning clearly until the KO in the first fight. Both Fury and Wilder have held up the WBC heavyweight belt for almost 10 years and between them they've only fought 1 single No1 contender between them, and he had to take them to court 😂. It's a joke that isn't funny, and that once prestigious green WBC belt that every fighter wanted so badly, is nothing but a joke of a sanctioning body and the president Mauricio Sulaiman nothing but a corrupt f*ck!!! And by the way Ngannou beat Fury, but where the WBC judges screwed Fury in the first Wilder fight which he won but was given a draw, this time he got the corrupt decision from the WBC judges!

There is no way that the rematch between Fury Usyk will take place in the summer, way too short of a timeframe after the first fight on Feb 17th in terms of recovery, promotion, and timings. Most likely rematch will be in winter Oct/Nov and Fury will retire from boxing after these two fights. If he loses, he won't bother to rebuild again at the end of his career having won all the belts at least once, and if he wins he becomes the first four-belt undisputed lineal champion and cements his legacy of GOAT of this era. Otto Wallin isn't known to have any power in his hands, Francis Ngannou actually lets his hands go, the power is insane, AJ won't be moving as confident in the ring knowing that Francis only needs to touch him anywhere and he puts him to sleep. 9:00 - Adam is talking crazy, Fury couldn't make Francis move backwards in the ring, Francis stood centre ring and traded with Fury and followed him around. When you know someone is dangerous it can mentally incapacitate you when making a move in a fight.
@ZaydDepaor11 ай бұрын
Ngannou will stop Joshua....Ngannou will cut down the ring, he has a better chin than Joshua, wont be deterred by Joshua's speed and power... And Ngannou will find Joshua easier to hit than Fury. Ngannou demonstrated in the very first minute of his fight with Fury that he is NOT the 'boxing novice' that was public perception. He showed that was not the case from his movement, calm, ring cutting, distance control, punch mechanics, combos, and economic, efficient pressure. And other top heavyweights have confirmed as well as Ngannou himself that he has been boxing training and sparring for many years. There are WAY TOO MANY pundits, commentators (and even dumb boxers and trainers) who talk too much irrational and illiterate crap about boxing, they don't understand what they are watching. They are same people who were shocked by Ruiz destroying Joshua or Parker dominating Wilder. They are clueless. Ngannou is used to the big occasion and overcoming different obstacles. Ngannou will be even better than he was in the Fury fight.

The heavyweight division is just about building a narrative for a fight that ends up not happening for one reason or the other - AJ vs Fury, AJ vs Wilder still not even 100% Fury vs Usyk is definitely going ahead. If the script ends up running like Adam said with a mega undisputed fight between Fury & AJ at the end of the year then fantastic, but it just seems like every year we build up these fights and talk about what’s going to happen but get disappointed . @ZaydDepaor11 ай бұрын
Fury DID train properly for the Ngannou fight, he and his team have confirmed it, Fury was shocked by the BOXING ABILITY of Ngannou that was OBVIOUS to anyone who has a clue about fighting and boxing from the first minute of the fight the way Ngannou held his guard, stance, movement, punch mechanics, distance control and punch economy and shot selection and combos...From that opening minute, I expected Ngannou to KO Fury as it was clear Ngannou would not be clueless and swinging wildly... add his power, durability and strength....it was going nullify many of Fury's advantages, however, Ngannou gassed a bit, and that was why he was unable to deliver a KO and Fury started defending more and effectively, running/keeping out of the way...even doing nothing in the last round when he obviously needed the points or a KO. Ngannou is smarter than most boxers, and that is a key facto too, he can adapt and read what is happening in the fight...Joshua for instance can't understand what is happening to him, he needs a trainer to spell it out and often the trainers don't even know as they are not too sharp either.

Fury didn't go in and out too much vs Ngannou. He tried his jab and grab game, wich simply doesn't work vs a guy who is professionally used to defend himself from wrestling. In MMA the ref won't stop the clinch, if you are not able to free yourself. So Fury went in and and more in (clinch) like he did vs Wilder in the last 2 matches, because his jab scored, but didn't hurt Ngannou, didn't stop him from moving forward. I still can't belive that every "expert" thiught that Fury's making Ngannou carry his weight might be a good idea. In the Joshua vs Ngannou match AJ won't try to jab and grab. The main question will be, if AJ's jab is hard enough to stop Ngannou from moving forward. Fury's wasn't, that's why he got in trouble and his instincts made him trying to clinch one of the biggest guys ever been in the UFC. If AJ can establish his jab and get the distance control as he did in Wallin match, the Ngannou fight is easy money for him. If not, he might get in real trouble. In the clinch and dirty boxing Ngannou is even better than Fury because of his MMA background and his physicality. And Ngannou's punch power is undisputed. If they start to trade (give some, take some) my money is on Ngannou.
@Dukestboy9611 ай бұрын
Agree on the trading part as Ngannou also has an amazing chin compared to AJ for sure. Also when AJ was tentative in the 2nd Ruiz fight his gameplan involved a lot of holding. Let's hope he doesn't try the same here
@bandana357011 ай бұрын
@@Dukestboy96 he can hold. That's ok. There is no big danger there. Better hold than get caught while moving out. But it shouldn't be the main plan to get Ngannou tired. That won't work. Also the dirty boxing is a bad idea vs Ngannou. Clean heavy shots from the outside like he did vs Wallin should be the game plan.

For those suggesting that Ngannou started boxing first before taking up MMA, so its no great jump to boxing, you should give the man his credit. He dabbled in boxing in his 20's whilst moving countries before settling into MMA seriously. There's starting boxing "late" and hardly starting at all. Just because your local mechanic at Kwikfit changes tyres, that doesn't translate into being able to step in last minute for an F1 team, changing tyres in a 2 second pit stop window.
