Simon doesn't have a clue about the boxing business, VADA or WADA rules. Eddie Hearn LEGALLY had to continue with the fight when the BBBofC were licencing it, who knew about the tests for 5 weeks prior to the fight date, and Eubank Jr wanted the fight. VADA is/did inform Eubank's team about the failed test during the contract agreed fighting period. Simon keeps referring to clomiphene as a PED. Its not a PED its a banned substance. PED's are drugs that athlete's can't have in their system for any reason, like Nandrolone. Banned substances are drugs that require medical reason to take or reasonable explanation for being in your system. Simon is a complete numpty that lost millions and Hearn is a global promoter running a global promotion company 😂😂😂.

See thing is Simon Jordan holds back when it was Fury and Frank Warren especially with all the bs going on with that fight and the common denominator between fights failing to get made being Fury, but they crusify Connor and Eddie, you can see from Simons reponse he does not like Eddie and it comes through on this interview. Again I personally believe Connor did fail the test and there is some blame on Eddies side, but British border of boxing hsvr a ton of issues as seen from the original Tyson Fury inicident years ago, Dillian Whyte ETC. Again no one is talking about Zolani Tete who failed weeks before Conor Benn and fought and beats Jason Cunningham? The test took place on July 2nd 2022 Same day as fight and now it's still being investigated and may face upto 4 yeasr ban. Why is this not being mentioned with the same energy?

None of this makes any sense on Hearn's behalf. He said he pulled the fight, but it was the BBBC that pulled the fight. Again, Eddie said he had no influence over the fight, yet he pulled the fight. Likewise, Eddie said in another segment we "considered our options and one of those was to continue with the fight", but why would you want to do that, if you wanted to pull the fight, knowing that was one of the options?

I think what eddie is saying is the fight was due to go ahead under the auspicious bbboc. They (the bbboc) were the governmening body responsible for saying whether or not the fight is allowed to go ahead under their rules. When the test came back, it is up to them to decide whether or not the fight can go ahead. Untill they say no, the promotor cannot pull the fight without the agreement of all contracted parties. Who all wanted to proceed. There was some confusion due to the bbbocs previos rulling regarding the billy joe sauders failed VADA test. When eddie says he then pulled the fight, he was speaking about the possibility of staging the fight under another jurisdiction. He decided not to pursue that route as he was now allowed to withdraw unilaterally as the origional contract was now void due to bbboc now refusing to sactiom the fight.

I dont know if you saw the last part of the interview, but Eddie talked about him taking fights elsewhere, including with other fighters. Simon actually made a good point about it, whereby, instead of Eddie attempting to exonerate this entire issue, he is still willing to set up fights (which is something in his control now), despite Connor Benn appearing a cheat, which again, doesn't seem to help Eddie's case of appearing a bit ethically questionable.

Eddie Hearn handled this grilling pretty well, but crucially after watching it I still don't feel as though there is a clear concise explanation for how the fight was allowed to get to fight week before it was called off - if I was in Eddie Hearns position - knowing that the fight was in jeopardy I would have been bashing down the door of the BBBoC to get a resolution weeks before the cancellation and if he wasn't it still suggests he was hoping to brush it under the carpet and make the fight.

Eddie Hearn is a promoter. The Board of British Boxing Control sanctioned the fight because both fighters passed their testing which was done on four separate occasions. It took them five weeks to change their decision on reviewing the optional and not connected with them VADA tests.

As much as I don't agree with Hearn on many things but he is absolutely right in what he is saying here regarding VADA and BBBoC, The problem is realistically that all bodies should use VADA or an independent drug testing procedure and make decisions from the findings, Different boards having different rules causes confusions and ambiguity

This is what happens when you're the best at what you do, when you hit a low point, people can't wait to jump on your back and ram it down your throat. Eddie Hearn has done more for British boxing than 95% of his competitors, brought better events than 95% of his competitors and will bring many more to come.
