Okay but why does Netflix feel the need to include a love triangle in the sequels to their romcoms (with the second love interest being a POC) which (while I absolutely love) feels like an insult cause you know the main girl is always gonna go back to her bland Bf and not the sweet second choice cause of “true love” or whatever Like please it’s so predictable🥲

Tall Girl 2 is that one girl who constantly craves for attention but never actually gets it. It’s also that one sequel we never asked for, and yet we still ended up watching the whole damn thing. It is called a market. The first movie got a decent amount of watch time, so they make a sequel. Large companies are driven by profit incentive. These types of movies are probably cheap to make, and bring in a decent number of eyes. There is so much entertainment produced today that most of it will be very similar.
