More dense muscle mass generally means more pain, which might explain it. He is generally fit but a bit skinny. Massage therapists have said that more often than not it's the petite women who ask for it to be extra hard and deep, for which there also was some explanation but I dont really recall atm. Skinnier people find it more pleasant to get deep tissue while the muscular tend to find it necessary but not quite so pleasant.

As the Dr's brother said on one of his vids, "tech neck is the new smoking", ain't t that the truth! Phew! the doc really laid into his back with the pink roller then her elbow while standing on one leg ( great leggings btw), to give some extra leverage, she didn't hold back. It's my belief that by doing the soft tissue work as well as the adjustment it is so much better. The muscle spasms are what pulls the spine out and cracking feels great, but, because the muscles are still messed up that given a few days they can pull the it right back out again. It's a round robin situation. Finding a chiro that works this way is a long process. Of course you can always pay for the triple --chiro, masseuse, scraper master. So much time and $$$

When I was in HS, my mom worked at a Chiropractic College. We used to get adjustments for free. I even participated in a study on lower back pain. This was 30yrs ago & they didn’t have nearly the skills shown here. Mainly relied on ultrasound & manual manipulation

The mass and distance phenomena is called leverage. The further away a mass (his head) is from a point of turn (the joint being curved) the more influence the mass will have. This influence is called torque. (I understand you know what leverage is but it also applies to his neck as well as you ability to apply force)
