This album is schizophrenic, unhinged, bonkers, and epic. This band is the future of nu metal period because this album in my opinion it's how you do un metal. Murder seed and cottonmouth are my favorite track due to the demented la la la. I relate the vocalist alot I feel the same way about how certain family members driving to the point of insanity which made me really love this album even more. Such a toe tag worthy album these guys deserve it.

It's interesting whenever people say this album reminded them of Korn, Slipknot, Mudvayne, when I hear their hardcore influences come out much more. They give me the same feeling I got when I listened to Dillinger or Code Orange (specifically the song Forever) for the first time. Red Light even reminds me of a bit of Mr. Bungle. Easily my AOTY.
@Windsailor17774 жыл бұрын
I hear too much code orange in The songs, but i identify something in The chorus of Overconfidence, The vocal is amazing, but i don't realize what The vocal reminds me... That's interesting, and the first time i hear The breakdown of Kungan, i remind the hardcore or deathcore breakdowns, when The song pass the "light speed" opening, rapping parts, and The beautiful Chorus, The song become a disturbing thing when Justin begun to say "HAHZKANZGDIABGAHSBI" and come the breakdown, The song at The end become something totally different of What que was in The beguin
@Blaqsailens4 жыл бұрын
@@Windsailor1777 They mix their influences beautifully and create something completely different. The reason I love their Code Orange similarities is that they have the slammy beatdown elements from Code Orange, which is my favorite part of that band, so you end up with the chaotic mathcore, nu-metal, beatdown, slammy riffs. Add to that Justin's insane vocal performance and everything comes together like glue.

You know I understand what you’re saying about how it reminds you of korn, slipknot etc..... Tallah actually name Korn, Slipknot and even Code Orange as who they were trying to pattern themselves after. I think the Max really felt like he could bring a fresh take on NuMetal to the scene especially with Someone like Justin on vocals. That’s why he recruited him so hard. He even said it was the only time he tried to get his dads help in trying to convince Justin that he was for real!! Lol! I think by naming those influences was actually dangerous to get a negative reaction for the album so it was risky but damn if they didn’t pull it off imo. Yes I hear all those influences BUT this album somehow sounds fresh, new, original and even kind of what the metal scene needs right now. And listen I’m an old school metalhead so I started in the NWOBHM era but I did like NuMetal to an extent with deftones and Korn being the only bands still in my rotation. But this Tallah album blew me away and I can’t stop listening to it. Between Gojira (whom I’m ashamed of not getting into earlier) Jinjer and now these guys I feel like Metal in safe for the near future. Anyway just my two cents guys.

Huge props to Max for putting it all on the line, saying fuck it, and getting desperate, because it was absolutely the right move in this case. There could not be a more perfect fit for a band like this than Justin, or maybe even a band in general.

Great review guys. Agree with everything you've said. Serious contender for album of the year in my book and yes the more you listen the more you pick up the little intricacies, which is quite rewarding. Ahaha Overconfidence I think is the first song I ever heard and I thought "what the fuck is this, why couldn't they fuck that breathing shit off in the recording?" glad I came to the same realisation as you did in the end... Silly me... A 45 year old Aussie bloke getting Punk'd by a bunch of younglings 🤣🤣🤣 yikes 🙀 sorry Kungan 😉
