These guys are hands down my favorite band right now! They definitely take the best aspects of all the Nu Metal bands from the early 2000's and mix them together. You guys should do Placenta next!

I think they also deserve credit for mixing in elements of other genres as well, such as Deathcore with their heavier vocals and instrumental passages, and also Prog, with some of the strange patterns, styles, and time signatures.

Couple of years ago when they released their EP, it was weird I thought they sounded very fresh. Even though they have some serious Slipknot and Korn influence, they still manage to make it sound up to date and their own.

Regarding the reggae vibe you guys got, Justin is half Jamaican and you can hear him do some patois in the song Murder Seed. That would be a great one to cover, and I also think the one that follows We, the Sad, Too Quick to Grieve would be good. Both are at a pivotal point in the album's story and you see a shift between this slower moodier song, and fast, frantic brutal goodness in the next.

I think I can answer your question about the rain, because I believe the band explained this in an interview in the past. As far as I remember, it is artificial, it was not actually raining, but I think the process was a messy one.
