Good video. I have not seen her before. I watched a video about why you should not pull a tug . Very interesting 🤨

As usual, many thanks for your comment. Yes, this is ship wouldn't normally be in the Tyne, but was here for repairs. She is heading back to Estonia now .. I wonder whether there are any shipyards there. I see however, that the ship was being used in Scotland to house people fleeing the war in Ukraine but hat contract has just finished, so maybe there wewre some alternations to make before returning to her normal role

Many thanks for your comment, yes, not a regular visitor to the Tyne. My wife and I are visiting your part of the world in a couple of weeks and will be taking a river cruise, which we are looking forward to. My late father was a chief engineer with Union Castle and had many stories of when he joined the ships in London. As a child, I remember seeing one U.C. passenger ship on the Thames, when we took a river trip. The P&O Oriana was also there. I liked the funnels, as they were on different decks. My other favourite was the United States. I had metal models of a few ships .. sadly, I don't know where they are now

@@brianmorrison9168 Yes - I think that there were many more ships in London say 30 or 40 years ago than there are now. Indeed, I think this is true of the UK shipping industry as a whole. The superyacht SCOUT arrived in London today and is moored just below Tower Bridge but I don't know if it will still be there when you take your river cruise.

Yes, looks a nice ship. Don't know how old you are, but as a kid I remember the Leda, which had a nice funnel .. black and white. Cars would be lifted on the ship by giant cranes. I used to wonder if they ever fell. There was also the Blenheim, with a yellow curved funnel. I sailed to Denmark once in the 70s on the DFDS ship "England" to Esbjerg. A few years later, whilst working in South Africa I saw her in Cape Town harbour. I see she actually sunk on the way to the breakers yard (???)

@@brianmorrison9168 Leda was before my time, but I have seen pictures from that time. I think there might be a youtube clip of Leda somewhere also. Myself I remember Venus, Jupiter, Bolera, Color Viking.
