So if anyone is looking to buy this board nowadays, today was my first day with this board and I have to say, SUPER impressed! Now first things first shipping for me took exactly 2 weeks from ordering online to it being in my hands. And i think waiting was the hardest part about getting the damn thing. But it was worth it after I rode the board. I live in Georgia, a few miles away from Atlanta, and I needed a board that could handle LONG distances and lots of fucking hills. And for 435$ this board did BEAUTIFULLY!!! I rode it on full charge, top speed for a few hours at least (I was planning on recording my distance but I was having too much fun riding it) never once did the board feel unresponsive or glitchy. Nor did It come across hills it couldn’t pass over. So far my only compliant has to be with the battery and distance. I think the only way to purchase this exact board is with the biggest battery they sell for it. The extra juice makes it completely fucking worth it but at that point the board would probably cost around 500$ which is close enough to buy the newest board they sell. If you’re thinking of buying an electric skateboard for cheap, the Wowgo 2s with the second battery option is probably your best bet. But if you have more money to spend I’d look into buying more higher end boards like the wowgo3 or other 600-900$ boards just because you can. But after looking though EVERY other company and their products, I can safely say you won’t be disappointed with this purchase. 100% worth it.

Avertron I’ve had my wowgo 2s for around 2 years now and it’s still holding up very well. Still goes fast as hell and is super smooth. I just wish it had swappable batteries but for 500 it was well worth it

I felt the same. Then a friend got one. Took me 10 minutes to get comfy enough to go round town on one ( at slow speed ). Having a brake is cheat mode. Makes it easy and safe. Now i'm waiting for my wowgo to get here :)

Most baords go the same speed max 20 to 25mph distance 10-20miles depends on what ur using it for for me 10miles is good charge in 3 hours too. This baord has good braking that wont throw u off i reccomend it. I dont reccomend a 1500$ board that goes the same speed and onky real difference is looks and distance..

Dude, I have been looking at the Meepo board for about a year now. I was hesitant picking one up because frankly, I am 56 years old and have not skated in 20 years although I was big time into the lifestyle. When I heard of this board, I thought to myself how similar it was to the Meepo and thought it was just another knock-off. THANK YOU for doing the comparison, I liked the spec's on the site but seeing you ride it and your comments sold it for me. IF I finally take the plunge (I would like to use it for last mile commute to my office) I will probably go with this board but upgrade to the better battery. Great review, probably the best I have seen, again, thanks for putting this out, good job :)

i was an avid Ramp skater in the 80’s and 90’s im 48 and haven’t skated since then,i got this board and took straight to it,it’s never been off fast mode since,although i’ve only had it for a few days im loving it.Just get the feel of the controller/torque/braking and you’ll be fine,i had to get used to not having a kick tail but it comes fast,btw check all hardware before every ride and wear a helmet

same age , thought about getting an E board but frankly they are good if you live in Miami or Atlantic City or your young and wana get around campus ,BUT I wouldn't use it, got a bike if I don't wana drive, got 3 Skate boards ,they may not be electric but at least you can do tricks on them ,and NO 51 aint old for riding a REAL board ,Tony Alva is like 56, think it comes down to do I wana stand up for a hour or do I wana cycle and stay fit and have the odd session on a half pipe, BUT with everything each to their own and hell they are cheap now !

My ownboard was shipped with the same remote. I would suggest it for any beginner. Longer throw...easier to feel confident is controlling it. That braking "whirr" you hear is so satisfiying!!

@@emilygriffin1552 Yeah the same thing happened to me at first and I was worried. After contacting Wowgo they said you don't get any tracking updates until it arrives in the US. A week or two later I got a tracking number from California and could track it to my house. Hope this helps, have fun!

I’m not a skateboarder but they look very cool. I’ve been flying RC planes, Helicopters for about 15 years. They are all electric and they are as fast and faster than nitro models. Brushless motors like the ones powering your drone and skateboards have really become very popular. Most of my flying buddies have converted to brushless electric motors. I have a pusher jet that has been GPS clocked at over 130 mph on 6 Lipo cells!! Pretty fast when you are standing in 1 spot on the ground. The plane gos by so fast, you better turn before it gets beyond visual range. Once on a windy day my model got so far away so fast I couldn’t tell it’s orientation. The only way to stop it was to crash as lightly as possible and walk almost a half a mile away and pick it up and carry it back for repairs. Learned a lesson that time. Bought a 2s last week, chose it over the Ownboard and backfire after a few weeks consideration. One thing that sold me over the backfire was the bamboo in the deck to give a bit more flexible. When I recieved it I felt the deck was super stiff. Contacted Wowgo to say it felt much stiffer, like solid maple. They replied and said "yeah it is, we swapped to full maple because of issues with the bamboo mix". Wtf? Still says on their site that it's the 7layer maple 1layer bamboo. Also, the ride is super tough on asphalt, be it the deck or combo deck and trucks. Breaking isn't great, acceleration can be hit and miss. Battery; got the "Sanyo" but it's not Sanyo, just a cheaper Chinese knock off. Lots more build quality issues and I'm hoping to return the board this week.

@@alxshots things got worse with their customer service, having to do a PayPal dispute to try and get money back. Pu on Wheels was all messed up after my ride. From other people's stories they seem happy with the board, but from my experience the board was not build well, didn't ride well and Wowgo are terrible when it comes to customer service. I can't recommend them.

@@thomasjepsen6750 I did, mainly for the bamboo, battery and 3 speed ESC. But I had initially bought a backfire and canceled it for this one, wish I hadn't. The calibre trucks optional 97mm wheels and proper rubber sealing show that Backfire are really trying harder in this category of board. Plus designwise they are not just getting the stock Chinese warehouse parts and sticking them together like ownboard or wowgo but going the extra mile to give a better experience.

I got a wogo, it is amazing, 20 km rage with one shot charging, the max speed of speed mode 2 is 30 km/h as i recorded. I am scared to try the max speed of mode 3. i recommend it.

Try the Verreal V1. It uses the exact same motor and battery setup as these so it should hang with them as far as performance. Also you can switch the urathane in the hub motors. So they don't have to be replaced. They also don't make water proof claims saying "Verreal Is Not Waterproof Although It's Able To Handle Wet Roads. Do Not Immerse Her In Water.". The board itself dosent look like it will be as good, but the kicker is, it's $150 cheaper than this one.

My board only worked for about 50 rides. Then it stopped working, Wowgo just told me that its my own problem and then ignored any emails. Even when I send them proof they kept telling me to just buy another one. The board was less then 1 year old. More and more flaws came up even when I did the right maintenance. So thanks Wowgo, for the waste of my money!

I got my Wowgo2 back in March of 2019. It was Halloween of 2021 and my board simply shut off on my midride and braked to a full stop. The board won't turn on so I put it on the charger to find sparks emitting from the charging port. Not sure the cause but it held up almost 3 years probably with at least 500 miles on it and a 250lb rider. Pretty happy with the purchase. I am going to look into the Wowgo2S now.

Well. I’d say go buy one now. This is just my first impression. I got it today. I am very impressed. I have ridden 5 electric skateboards. The Acton blink - it was a toy. The Metroboard slim stealth edition - it was a tank. I have the Metroboard micro slim - speed is underwhelming. I have the evolve bamboo GT with the LHB battery mod- it is absolutely magical!!! I weigh 220 and the evolve flies up hills At 20mph. Top speed for me is 24 mph. And the way it turns is incredible. But today I really had fun with the Wowgo 2s. I got the Sanyo battery. I think the top speed I got to was 22mph. I went 12 miles on my last ride. Still had 37.5% battery. It feels really fast on flat. Going up hill was a bit slower. But still made it. The hub wheels are a bit harder ride than the evolve. But the freewheeling has less drag. The remote is really good. I will add comments later as I get more rides in. But so far so good. ONE WEEK UPDATE. Still very impressed. I have ridden the board every day this week. I have put a little over 50 miles on it. Performance is very good. No issues so far. I really like the remote. I really like how it seems to have no drag going downhill. Getting top speed at 22 mph. This evening I rode 13 miles.

Controllers are everything and this board is the best! I regret getting the teemo board over this because the controller is quite sensitive, and this seems like it has a really nice acceleration curve that won’t throw you off. Wish more manufacturers would do that.

I just recently bought the Acton Blink Lite v2 as a beginner e-board (Ive skateboarded before that board) and now I'm really considering the WowGo 2 as it's an upgrade from 1 motor to 2 motors, 10mph to ~20mph and 5 miles to ~10 miles. It's also a longboard so it's got larger wheels in comparison to the Blink Lite v2. Saving up for this bad boy!

I have this board and drove it hard on a college campus for a week through lots of rain, and my board has powered through quite well. The only problem has been the tougher back griptape peeling, which I fixed with flex glue. Was a wonderful board and I would recommend.

Toby dela Cruz koowheel v2 is better than the meepo 1.5 apperently. Now waiting for reply on this or koolwheel v2. I think wowgo 2s because the battery option is really good and I was told the koowheel v2 is stiff. So bricked roads, cracks etc is better using wowgo. More flex to it. I am leaning towards wowgo 2s but waiting for reply back.

This may seem silly, but I would love to know how much weight it will endure as well. I think your very thorough and articulate reviewing these products. And demographically I'm probably outside the usual as a 59 year old man who weighs 250 lbs. But I workout at the gym everyday and roughly walk 5 miles everyday to get to my gym I'm in the market for an electric skateboard to get back and forth.

LOVING the video's i've been after an electric board for a few months now and was looking at the Koowheels, but from your reviews im more confused haha... in a good way though. Is this better than the Koowheels board? I like carving around on the roads so would the koowheel's board be too stiff? Also any info on the different battery types on the wowgo? There is a steeper hill down past 14th street on the beach side if you want to test the boards a little more use that instead of the one by 3rd
