You sold me this kit. Just set it up yesterday. Pretty well made. The stock heads are one you should definitely change, I didn’t have a chance yet, you know, purchased it yesterday, delivered to home. Pretty cool package, really compact. Nice hardware, nice tone of the kick. The dealer here offered only one option which goes with the stands as well. All of them are nice except the throne which is not the sturdy one. Didn’t touch the stands since I have my own, but they are a great addition considering a price point. So.. kudos to Tama. Really well done. The best sounding and looking kit for the apartment. Got the same finish. Very luxury looking. Thanks again for this great demo and help in the choosing.

I was deciding on which one of these cheaper club kits to buy. It came down to this Tama and the Ludwig Breakbeats for the low end priced kits and this video sold me on the Tama. Itll be here in week and I'll be sure to let others know why I think of it.

Great video. Have you gotten your hands on the Gretsch Catalina club? I've seen a demo where the things sounds absolutely brilliant and it's only a few hundred more dollars at most than this kit I'd love to see you review it. Keep it up man I love your videos.

No body mentions that the snare only has six tightening lugs. Their competitor snare has eight lugs and cost $19.00 more. Both companies snares are 13 inches. I own both of these compact drum sets!

can you tell us the competitor maybe?
@cosmostallone70176 жыл бұрын
It's the Pearl Midtown drum kit. It comes down to personal preference. Again the Tame snare has six tightening lugs while the Pearl snare has eight. The Tama bass drum doesn't require a bass drum lift while the Pearl bass drum does. The lift on the Pearl is "NOT" attached to the hoop. It's attaches to the side of bass. Very strong and secure! Tama has a new height adjustable bass drum pedal that can be used on various size bass drums. It cost $99.99 US dollars.

I like the aqua blue with the wood hoops. Nice contrasting colours. I'm not a fan of the tom sizes, but the bass drum is perfect! I get that it's a "travel kit". Whatever that means, aren't all kits travel kits? Whatever, cool little kit.

A lot of people complain that the bass drum isnt loud, but I wonder if that's just because thry arent using a riser?
@teronm2 жыл бұрын
Does the kick drum need a riser? Or does a pedal go fine on it?
@MsSetagaya4 жыл бұрын
Which is louder overall - Tama Club or Pearl Midtown?

if you had to choose, questlove breakbeat or this kit ?
@nickreza6416 жыл бұрын
Absolutely this kit. For what you pay this kit sounds leaps and bounds better than the breakbeat, its also built to a higher standard in my opinion. I'm a tama guy though so I might be biased lol

Fırst of all, I'm a Tama guy. But I prefer Breakbeats for second kit. Because, - Comes with perfect snare drum (Maybe you can take everywhere that snare) - Floor tom, real floor tom :) - Kick sound is better than Tama (also have 8 lugs) - It comes with full hardware (Atlas series) and carrying bags (you can aslo use them for muffling) - Better finish options etc.

Does anyone know the maximum height the floor tom can be set, from the floor? As it's very short.
@DrumshackLondon5 жыл бұрын
You can call the guys in the shop if you need exact measurements (0207 228 1000) but I believe that the legs are longer on this particular kit to make up for the shallow floor tom. Hope this helps!
