I bought this kit to restart my drumming journey years after I stopped playing and had to sell my old kit. I bought it like two months ago. It's nice! It's not great, it kinda has noticable flaws, but for the money I paid for it it doesn't disappoint me. I would not recommend as a seasoned drummer's kit if you're just looking to buy one, but as a cheap jump back into drumming it's been great for me. I use it with my band and I play on it like 4 to 8 hours a week or so depending on the time my band gets to practice. I have an e-kit for practice in my apartment for the rest of the week. EDIT: I forgot to add I bought a set of cymbals and stands as well, since the included cymbals are not great. I also bought another throne cause this one was uncomfortable to sit in for extended practices.

In Sweden we had Swingstar as the bottom series from Tama. But okey to play and it was 1985...

Hi, this is a 2023 Model. The new Tama stuff will be released in january.

Would you find these comparable to Sonor AQX Studio? From your demos I think the Tama sounded better. Sonor is significantly more expensive from what I see.

Hi, thanks for your question. I think the Sonor kit has advantages in terms of sturdier hardware & the B8-Cymbals. If you‘re going just for the shells, it makes not a big difference. Chris
