Also nexus 4,5,6 phones work. Not the old galaxy nexus though. Google uses broadcom NFC which is designed to work worldwide and has data transfer FelCIA chips...other phones that have NFC may not work because its not data NFC, its basic NFC for use on prepaid phone cards and not capable of transferring data. LG made nexus 4 and its very similar in hardware to LG optimist Pro which also works with tama app. According to Bandai Namco, the most supported devices with this all are Docomo, Aquos, LG, and Nexus devices.

Thanks for this video! Just wondering, if I download a character will it instantly replace the character I'm currently running? Or will I have to raise it from the baby stage?

I believe the characters must be loaded before your character becomes an adult. Each one has different requirements on how to obtain them.

2nd Generation. Make sure you get that, because the Gen 1 will not work.

I really wish bandai would make this app for the iPhone 6 because the 6 supports nfc. Have you heard anything?

Even if Bandai made an app, it wouldn't work. Apple has not opened up their NFC to third-party apps, so it only works for the Apple Wallet. Knowing Apple, it will be a few years before they ever open it. Look how long it took for third-party keyboards. I'm in the same boat, since I have an iPhone and iPad. I bought this Nexus used.

alexxC37 I guess it depends on what you would consider expensive. I have the 128GB iPad mini with retina, so in comparison to that, it was dirt cheap!

Was your Nexus 7 unlocked? Also are they region locked? Considering buying one for this purpose but I dont want to buy it if this wont work. I'd be buying a US region one.

I asked a seller because I had the same question, they said it's either the tama is hungry or the tama is sad, if u want hum/her to be happy, u should take them out to play

P's use infrared. They're are phones for sale online that have downloadable content and all of Mr. Blinkey's English patches already on the phone that you buy and use. Yes p's can be put into English I would look it up

Anyone else who may read this (unless you have an answer haha I didn't think so but thought I might as well try ;) ) I have a Samsung Galaxy s5 and I downloaded the app and see that I can activate NFC, but when I try to "download" my phone goes to the screen to turn on NFC and explains how to use it, and then I turn it on and nothing. What am I doing wrong?? TIA for any ideas or answers anyone may have for me :)

What device are you using? There have been a lot of problems with most devices. Mine worked right off the bat, so I can't help much with trouble shooting. I also don't know much about android devices.
