One of the first things i do when i get a new tama is take the shell off and spray a sealing spray on it to protect the paint. I have my original connection from my childhood and sure enough you can see the paint rubbed off by the buttons. Not the end of the world but definitely a visual bummer. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to keep them in good condition for long term.

Am I crazy, or is the screen darker than the originals? I just got mine today and I wasn't sure if my eyes were just going bad 😅

It looks the same to me other than it looks a little clear.

It looks darker to me. I have vintages v1 v2 v3 v4 and 4.5 They're all lighter and crisper. Hopefully the next batch won't be like that.

Just bought a used OG tamagotchi a few months ago for $80 😂 can’t believe they’ve been re released and now they’re only $30 on amazon. Just my luck. But i hope it gains popularity with the kids of this generation, tamagotchis were such a special part of my childhood, it makes me happy to think that kids will have access to them now
