Taman Negara - Trekking in the World's oldest Jungle

In my last video we visited together the city of Ipoh, on the Kinta River. Malaysia's former city of millionaires.
In this video we now leave civilization and drive into the Taman Negara - the oldest jungle in the world.
Wild elephants live there, the last Malayan tigers and the Malayan tapir, which is also threatened with extinction.
Already from the Tembeling River, the rainforest is impressive. But I want to get in the middle and do a jungle hike. There I make the encounter with completely different bloodthirsty wild animals: leeches.
But the jungle is not only home to an impressive animal world. In addition to the mighty giants of the jungle trees, there are also plants that can heal - or kill.

Da kommen schöne Erinnerungen auf. Wir waren auf Borneo und sind dort durch den Dschungel. Es waren sehr schöne und vor allem bleibende Eindrücke.

I really enjoyed this video. It reminded me of the time I hiked in Taman Negara for days to reach the top of Gunung Tahan (Tahan mountain) when I was 19.

Wow, even up to Gunung Tahan! That is really an accomplishment, that deserves respect. I was completely exhausted after trekking only up and down along the Tembeling river.
