His dancing and acting skills here is astounding, especially the part when the lion head took a life of its own and dragged Yayoi away. I've seen the Nakamura version but Bando Tamasaburou here is just phenomenal.

She moves really gracefully--for a dude lol! But I honestly think Bando Tamasaburo is to Kabuki what Mei Lanfang was to Chinese opera. Period.
