I love the psychedelic stoner rock Tame Impala. I honestly enjoy all of Kevin Parker's art, BUT this is so beautiful. The synthesis of The Beatles, Bowie, Zeppelin, Hendrix, and early Pink Floyd is magic.

I love the classic tame impala. They were so innocent and humble , yet creating euphorically huge and dynamic music with brilliant lyrics and transcendent melodies. Kevin really was a genius back then (still is). But god damn was innerspeaker good.

Same. I think The Slow Rush is the ONLY Tame Impala album where I'll skip some songs when listening to the full album. I've loved everything Parker has touched from his discography to his collaborations with other artists. People complain about him changing his sound, when in reality, if he made Innerspeaker four different times, it would be super boring. He's changed it up every album, and I appreciate growth from an artist, especially of Kevin's stature. For me, it would be: 1. Currents 2. Lonerism 3. Innerspeaker 4. The Slow Rush HOWEVER, none of them are bad. They are their own time and place.
@redkingoldhero38
@redkingoldhero38 4 жыл бұрын
so you think lonerism is just innerspeaker 2? you know innovation is possible while keeping the same sound or staying in the same genre. the new album is so far away from this music it's almost like a different band (and yes i know the band is one person)
@redkingoldhero38
@redkingoldhero38 4 жыл бұрын
also even if he did make innerspeaker the same time that's only boring to you. that's an opinion. i would welcome it as I think Innerspeaker is their best album.
@andrewyeeter6068
@andrewyeeter6068 4 жыл бұрын
@@redkingoldhero38 The thing with Kevin is that he makes his best music when he is excited with what he is doing. He outgrew innerspeaker, and I think this is for the better. Each album has its own story, and if he didn't change he would be repeating the same story
@redkingoldhero38
@redkingoldhero38 4 жыл бұрын
@@andrewyeeter6068 only lyrically would he be repeating the same story. you can write about different topics within one genre or one sound. he couldve been writing about what he writes about in his new album with a similar sound as what you find in lonerism and innerspeaker. I simply do not like the bubblegum super polished pop music he makes now. i like the fuzzy, guitar driven, lo-fi psych music he made. that's that

Waiting for everyone else around to agree Might take too long Might take too long Then, it won't be so hard (it won't be so hard) Well, it's true, yes, but you won't get far telling me That you are All you're meant to be When the one from my dream Is sitting right next to me And I don't know what to do Oh, alter ego Get them to love you While they may, depending on your words and wealth The only one who's really judging you is yourself Nobody else Nobody else If I could part It wouldn't be so hard (it won't be so hard) Well, it's true, yes, but you won't get far telling me That you are All you're meant to be When the one from my dream Is sitting right next to me And I don't know what to do Oh, alter ego

so sad i only found out about his music recently, i know for a fact with how much his music helps me now that it would have been a blessing to have found out about it earlier in my life. the vocals and instruments are so enchanting and i feel a certain way with his music, no other music has ever made me feel.
