Rebirth and not taking it for many years is that ordained by the Lord Mahavishnu for some specific reasons. So the narration has to be true plus this has happened many lakhs of years ago. When the human cant remember what banned the previous second, not to speak of what happened lakhs and lakhs of years ago. Puranams relating to the Maharshis cannot be questioned.

There is no desire (Aasai) for atma. It is real nivanam waiting for rebirth. How athmas could have told their desire to Agathiar ? Not blaming the narrator or YT. Just my opinion!
