Hello and welcome to scale stuff in this weeks video I am going to be building the Tamiya 1:35 scale Mesozoic creatures set kit No. 60107
In this video I take a look at what is in the box and show you how to build and paint the model kit up .I really enjoyed building this set of dinosaurs I brought this kit as a nice relaxed weekend build and it certainly delivered on that, Been both easy to put together and fun to paint

VERY NICE!!! I'm actually working on this set currently m'self, along with the Velociraptor set. Mixing and matching dinosaurs for more varied dioramas and such.

Nice,any planned scene to the diorama? And hows the velociraptor set go together? I've been looking at that kit for a while now

@@scalestuff1066 Yeah, I'm going to do them with the Velociraptors in the Triceratops diorama set. Not sure yet *what* I'm going to do with them, if they'll share a base with Triceratops or not, but I have some ideas floating around. They build up pretty nice, pretty comparable to the Mesozoic Oviraptor and Hypsilodon. But what I really like about it is,, they give you 3 bodies, 3 left legs, 3 right, etc., and any of the the legs will fit into the body. So you can mix and match and make your own poses with them without having to do any sort of modifications, and they won't just look like a few repeats in the group.

@@fenrismodels Yeah not sure if your like me but I find models sort of build themselves after a certain point? its like well a tree there just made sense, and then people ask you how to plan a model and its like, "it made me to it" hahaaha Ah now thats a nice touch, you could make a right mob out of them and might be able to keep them all looking at least a little different ,rather than the cookie cooker 3 raptors showing up again and again and again

@@scalestuff1066 *Exactly!* I mean, it does still have a little bit of that feel since there are only 3 body sections (which means from snout to tail-tip), and it's only the legs/arms that change, but still! It's a lot more variety than you usually get with these sorts of kits! And yeah, I find it fascinating how once I get started, the model will start to tell me what colors to use, what patterning, what to go where, what sort of landscape, etc. etc.! It's like as you being to bring them to life they indeed come to life and have a mind of their own haha!

@fenrismodels what I wouldn't give for an affordable stegosaurus, I've built all the old dinosaurs I can find now but with dinosaurs, you get old airfix tamiya lindberg all fun builds but stop animation style,the new tamiya,then price jumps to 80 quid resin and there simple things and kids love em,huge hole in the market

@@scalestuff1066 Right? I've seen some absolutely stunning resin molds, that are all over $120 USD!!! Can barely justify that for a full 1/32 Tamiya plane, let alone a dino kit that is only a few pieces. But *man* if the detail isn't insane on those.

@@scalestuff1066 I've found that Pegasus has some great stuff in Vinyl, somewhere in a midpoint between the two extremes, but them being vinyl means they don't take to plastic cement; you have ot use 5 min epoxy or CA glue. That, and Pegasus only has 3 out so far: Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, and Spinosaurus.

Lies and deceit!!!! Keep an eye on palaeontology from time to time…..my lad you are obsessed!!!! Every blinking week you tell me something I don’t want to know about dinosaurs OR have purchased another dinosaur toy that has to live at my flat in case you lose your street cred.
