Another great review Jon. This kit is not an easy find. I have the Trumpeter kit in my stash awaiting my attention. I am curious to see your paint scheme choice. The PLAAF version looks cool rather then the plain metallic finish of Soviet or North Korea. Built the Monogram one way back. That model, though lacking some details (especially the cockpit) was a fun build. Thanks!

Thank you! The Trumpeter kit is supposed to be decent, as is the Bronco kit. There's also a newer MiG 15 kit from Hobby 2000 but it isn't an improvement on these older kits - none of which seems easy to find. Cheers!

The Hobby 2000 kit is a rebox of the Bronco plastic but you get masks and cartograf decals with it so it's a good deal for the price.

Your reviews are quite pleasant. Not too long, not too short, to the point and giving quite a few tips. Thanks! I’m not a big fan of soviet aircrafts and never built one. However, the engine of this kit makes it interesting, as it could be upgraded with some scratch build detailing for a small diorama or vignette. Ciao!

Hola Jon. Excelente video muy informativo. Tuve la suerte de armarlo, por entre el 96/97, recuerdo que resultó una agradable experiencia, muy buen ajuste y detalles para la época excepcionales, era un kit superior, detalles al pintar destacaban su motor, lo hice en modo exposición, con el carrito sujetando la mitad trasera del fuselaje/cola, vale la pena aún? No he comparado con ningún kit actual de este modelo, sin embargo creo, sigue siendo un gran kit para tener, además de que ahora se puede agregar más cosas por fuera de mercado. Saludos y hasta el próximo video. PD: no sé si Hobbyboss será mejor su modelo respecto a éste, habría que hacer una comparación, te dejo tarea....jajajajaja

¡Gracias Francisco! Se supone que los Trumpeter y HobbyBoss MiG 15 son decentes, al igual que el kit Bronco. Todos estos kits parecen más o menos iguales con sus ventajas y desventajas. El Tamiya es la construcción más sencilla y que mejor se adapta, mientras que los demás tienen una mejor precisión de observación por lo que he leído. También hay un kit MiG 15 más nuevo de Hobby 2000, pero no es una mejora con respecto a estos kits más antiguos, ninguno de los cuales parece fácil de encontrar. Hasta que Eduard lance uno, estos kits más antiguos son los mejores MiG 15 1/48. ¡Salud!

Another great review… Good morning from OHIO !!! If I built this kit, I would make it in a ( diorama ) airfield setting show the engine… I like the camouflage scheme… You do like your RUSSIAN AIRCRAFT… Some of the kits you review, I didn’t know they made, so this is a new one to me… This is a nice looking kit, plenty of choices for it… Can’t go wrong with Aftermarket products…. Always enjoy seeing your reviews… Not sure where you live in PENNSYLVANIA ????? It's a good kit but I prefer the Bronco Models version much better, I do like that it is supplied with a pilot figure.

Right on! I think the Bronco kit is the early MiG 15 while the Tamiya is the MiG 15 bis. From what I've read, the Bronco is a bit more accurate shape-wise, and the Tamiya is the best-fitting, easiest build. I would love to see Eduard release a line of MiG 15s in 1/48. Cheers!

It compares on roughly equal terms with the Bronco, Trumpeter, and HobbyBoss MiG 15s. The Tamiya is the best-fitting, easiest build. The others are a bit more accurate shape-wise. There's a newer kit by Hobby 2000, but it doesn't look quite as good from what I've seen. Until Eduard or another manufacturer comes out with a defnitive MiG 15 in 1/48 scale, these will have to do. Cheers!

@@jonsmodelkitreview4624 monogram mig 15 wasn't bad for it's time but was out of scale at about 1/40!😳 Bronco tends to be more pricey than it needs to be like with the p40b!🤔 Jman
