Hi Matteo. Beautiful! I have a question for you. I just bought a pre-assembled Tamiya Unimog 425 and was wondering if it's normal for the front wheels to have a lot of slop in them? Also, is there an easy way to remove the slop?
@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ed! Yes, on an older CC-01 this is normal. I'll do an upgrade video soon, to show how to improve this.
@EdGrant7 жыл бұрын
Matteo's RC Movies COOL! Another question: How can one tell if they are getting an "older" CC-01 versus a "newer" CC-01?
@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
It means if its brand new the slop is not so big, but after using it the parts worn out and the slop getting bigger... so, an old one (used) have more slop! 😄

Have you ever had any problems with sand in some machanical party? For example cracking soundtrack from the ball barings? Or something....
@Matteomeier8 жыл бұрын
Sand alone is not so much problem, grains of sand are too big to enter in bearings or covered gears. But in combination with water, it's more critical. So, after a wet run I clean the car and use oil spray in bearings to protect them.

Wow. Hey man, this little mog is great. You did an excellent job there. But there are still questions. What did you do to make all this electric stuff waterproof to turn this mog into a submarine? Are all the components already waterproof or did you do some "magic"? Which parts did you customize? Whatr camerra did you use to make this clip? (GoPro?) How long did it take to assemble all the parts to get a "reeady to ride" model? In fact I thought about buying this model, but first I wanted to see some nice footage here on KZbin. YOUR short video is the best promotion. I hope to see more clips in the future. Well done. Congratulations.

Hi Matteo, did you change the stock motor and if so for what motor? Did you paint the Lexan body from the inside or outside? Thank you so much!
@Matteomeier8 жыл бұрын
In most of my CC-01's I have the stock motor. It works not bad ad all, and have enough power. If you like less speed you can use a motor with more turns, like a 55 turn crawler motor. The body should be painted from the inside, with special polycarbonate colors (PS-Spray from Tamiya) if you like a matte finish you can use a matte varnish from the outside. (PS-55 flat clear)

It looks like the front diff is locked or limited slip. How did you achieve this? Love the vids. Love the Mogs!
@Matteomeier4 жыл бұрын
You can achieve this by different methods. For complete locking you can insert plastic parts instead if the bevel gears. Or for a limited function you can add some diff butty so its not fully blocked.

@@Matteomeier I put in 50,000 weight silicone fluid in the front diff. Acts very nicely as a limited slip. Thank you 😊. Crawls up steep slopes much better.

Hi Mateo , I've been looking at these Mog videos a lot , does weight affect them (grip and climbing .) is it any help putting a bit of lead in ? Your suspension looks more realistic , instead of "bouncing" from stone to stone ?

Hallo matteo ich habe eine Frage wie machst du es das deine autos immer so original federn ? ich habe selber einen Land cruiser aber meiner federt nicht so trotz keinem Öl in den dämpfern
@Matteomeier9 жыл бұрын
