I have a king hauler with MFU and I kept the full interior with a driver. You can squeeze everything in the sleeper but you gotta be a bit creative. It's also easier to build the kit when you have the MFU. There are quite a bit of wires to run with all the lights and you'll end up needing to take some things apart later on to run all the wires. I also found the steering is not great. I ended up trimming some of the material where the rod ends kept bumping at full turns and also added angled rod ends to gain a little better turning radius. Super fun to build these! Enjoy!

Great tips, thanks!! We did some steering trim on Robs Cascadia ya, I think it's the same setup here.

I want to do one of these so badly. The level of customising that can be done is amazing, so much after market goodies available

I built a Scania 620 6x4 in 2012 or so. Was to expensive to keep doing what I wanted to do, so I sold it after converted it to 6x6 and lifted it. Also had a Shell trailer. The King Hauler came out in July 93', so big rigs have been produced for a long long time.

For sure, it's years now. I really didn't pay attention until a couple of years ago!

Thanks for the shout out guys! :D The Grand Hauler is also stretched. I highly recommend the MFC, and fortunately, you know a guy... lol Also, you CAN fit the MFC in with the interior. It's quite cramped and a bit of a chore, but it can be done; I've packed it all in the sleeper of my King as well. Yeah, y'all will be having to get an enclosed trailer now that you're getting into 1/14. lol

Good news, so it will fit! I like chores. Happy trucking!

Hey guys, it's about time. These semis have been out so long now. Great custom parts to add, wheels, axles, frame extensions 6" long that makes for a long, long semi. Going to get back into them myself...for sure. A new, old dimension of the R/C hobby. O..I forgot about the "sound" systems available.....have fun.

Thanks for watching! Yeah, it's about time for sure!

Option for sound kit... G.T. power has a great setup (cheaper then tamiya)... there is a 3d file for a mount for the grand hauler so everything with fit so you can use the interior... happy building

Ah yeah! Another option for controls! Thanks!

Love me a tiny big rig ! For sound and lights the servonaut or GT power are much more user friendly than the mfu as they play nice with any remote.

Never heard of that one, so thanks for the tip! Yeah! I'll check those out!

Check out Mateo's video called first mission. He built one of the first Grand Haulers with Tamiya's stainless tanker trailer behind it. The best video I have seen on this truck yet.
