3:12 This is awesome with the tracks. I’m working on a 1/35 scale Panzer 2 and I’m having to glue one by one individual track pieces together to make the whole track. Bit of a tedious process to do

Hi Andy, got one on my desk and look forward to do a comparison between all the new once - Academy - Tamiya - Takom - Dragon... Anyway it's important not to fall into the narrative of the training tank story. Jentz has written a lot about this. And its a common mistake as during the planning the first series (A Type) was build without the turret and therefore upper armour to be used as driving school chassis. To remark Germany was not allowed to have tanks after WW I and all what was done had to be top secret. Looking at tanks of the same time you have the AMR-33, the Lloyd Light Tanks, the CV-33 and so on. Nothing like the B1 already developed in mass production. Looking at the numbers produced of the A and B version it was a massive production for a country that only started to build tanks. For the German Army it was the decision to build fast a tank force and not to wait for funds in a not certain future. Panzer I was regarded totally as a capable battle tank, when it was developed. Cheers from Germany

So when was the 2 color (gray & brown) paint scheme used? Academy is showing 4th Panzer using it; Tamiya 4th Panzer isn’t-just all gray.
@jamesbednar86252 ай бұрын
Depending on sources, the brown camo was used on most Panzer 1Bs during the Polish campaign, though have photos of some in all gray - depends on unit. Also, have photos of green/brown camo applied to the gray as well.
