Tamiya SAND ROVER 2011 in Action!

Re-release of Tamiya Sand Rover in 2011 with DT-02 chassis. I installed a standard 540 motor and CVA oil shocks.

Nice to have the original one, my first RC was the Frog back in the 80s. The 2011 version is nice also. It have the power as the 540 "silver can" can deliver, but on the new version you can install a better motor such a brushless monster!

***** Da ich Dich für einen richtigen Tamiya Spezialisten halte, kannst Du mir doch sicher sagen, ob sich der Sand Rover und Street Rover nur durch die Reifen unterscheiden? Ich selbst habe da keine exakten Informationen gefunden. Das Chassis sieht auf Fotos jedenfalls identisch aus. Und wären da auch die Reifen des Sand Scorchers kompatibel? Und was ist an diesem Chassis anders, als an den anderen? Danke schon jetzt für Deine Antwort..!

Frank Kathoewer Hallo Frank, also die beiden haben das gleiche Chassis, einziger Unterschied sind die Reifen und Felgen. Und der Sand Rover Kit kommt mit dem 380er Motor und der Street Rover bereits mit dem 540er. Die Sand Scorcher Reifen passen allerdings nicht (zu klein), und die Felgen haben andere Mittnehmer. Das Chassis ist ja das DT-02, ein neueres moderner Bauart, nur die Karos sind Vintage. www.ultimatetamiya.com/buggies/dt02/
