Hi GPM makes simple hexes with bearings in them so you can mount 12mm hexes up front. I got them but I never ran them but put them on and they do work.

+Shen RC I've seen those. They are probably great, but I already had the Traxxas parts on hand. They also shorten the wheelbase a bit, moving the front wheels rearward under the body a bit more.

Rustydrift RC - something that the front of these Buggies really need! What's the Traxxas part # again? That's worth a try on my Holiday Buggy.

PoorManRC steering blocks #3736, castor blocks 3632, front axles# 3637. I don't have # for the hex or pins. bearings I think are 5x10 it 5x11. sometimes to can find the whole assembly on eBay or Amazon

That's a big help. Thanks! Pins and Hexes are easy. The other part numbers will really help!!

thumbs up. I've seen other options on Tamiya forum. This seems to be on top of the best idea list. I've read that those adapters are terrible, so your way is the way to go. I will be doing this on the Tamiya DT03. I hope upper arm and lower arm have the same width where you screw, otherwise I'll have to adapt this for my situation. What is the width of your upper and lower arm ?

Thanks. I have the other adapters on my Blackfoot to run Slash wheels. This is a much better solution though. The opening in the upper and lower and is about 10mm. I did file there lower part of the caster block and use a spacer on top, so if the DT-03 arms are different, it shouldn't be too hard to adapt.

I'm placing my order now with your references. Just one thing, what is the reference (size) of the hinge pin you used to connect steering block and caster block. Cheers

I don't remember the size. I bought the steering blocks and castor blocks together as an assembly. There are still a few sellers that offer them that way as takeoffs from new cars.

@@RustydriftRC Hello you have no way of measuring this for me ?
@RustydriftRC2 жыл бұрын
It will be a week or so before I could measure them. Here is a link to the Traxxas website for part number 3474 (King pins) the listing says 2.5mm x 29mm. About $2.50 for them. m.traxxas.com/products/parts/3740
