great video build series again , i would be happy too run that at our club ,, just one thing i would change the steering link on your servo saver end too behind so it runs at 90* too the steering bell crank arms ,this will give a better feel when driving as its a one too one ratio , when you have these strange angels the steering can feel strange left too right , but your shock settings with droop look spot on out the box and the chassis looks killer

Yes i was already scrolling through the comments to see if anyone already noticed. Put the ball end on the servo horn on the other side, the bump of rod already hits the steering bridge otherwise.

Just some further information about that motor gear meshing, i have a standard tt02b with that exact motor and the standard plastic motor mount. I also found i needed to set the fixing position of the motor, to 1 tooth less than it actually had to get proper mesh of the pinion/spur gear. I had a different brushless motor in it before that, and it just had it in the normal position that the pinion size was and it was good. I think the screw holes in that motor might not be exactly spaced correctly apart.

Great video Glenn, always interesting seeing tt02 builds, with so many upgrade parts available almost no one does theirs exactly the same. About the steering, one extremely good bang for buck upgrade is the tamiya TT02 low friction step screw set (part number 54550), its dirt cheap & makes a surprisingly big difference reducing the steering play further.

I would turn the battery to have the cable face forward(forward-outward so actually turn around and upside down). It its still tight you can cut down the ledge on the forward side a little for the cable. I just glued distance rings on my battery straps after checking with all batteries. It looks like you have the rubber gromets on the servo, i know that gives piece of mind but i screw my servos down without them and they are mounted so much more stable. If the servo moves 2 mm side to side your not gona have good steering i think. Its either have it vibration protected or live with a shortend servo livetime and have better steering.

Great content as usual. Not much to add to the mods already done Personally I would fit aluminium front C hubs or steering knuckles as the plastic ones might possibly break easy in a crash. As I said before I would shim the steering with 0.1mm bearing grade shims in 3 or 4 or 5mm internal diameter whatever works to take the slack out a tiny bit.

Looking good Glenn, however, there is one extremely important part that you're missing. You're going to need to get the hop up servo mount. The steering on these are it's biggest downfall. The plastic mounts are horrible and your servo will wiggle all over the place. I've run mine with the standard mount and it goes all squirrely. Got my Tamiya aluminum mount coming in the mail today.

Savox servos always talk to you, just to let you know there happy an alive. You're going to do performance motor and ESC as well you should look into Castle creations That's what I race with my electric program. Even though im a Nitro guy, you always mention here recently that the video needs to be short? Is there some reason for that or you just want them to be sure? Cuz I think we all would probably not mind if it was to 15 or 20 minutes longer. I watch all these videos while I'm wrenching on my race kits. It also for watching the first place that means we enjoy it to begin with, but anyhow good job , I like to performance stuff!!!!🦀🦀🦀 Just about forgot to say I like the jacket. Very sharp. Also maybe you could do the 801 kit Maybe when you finish putting in the dry stuff you could make that a performance kit as well cuz I would be interested in seeing that!

1:02 => The lighter orange motor is good for 1/14 or 1/12 cars but not so much for 1/10 Buggies IMHO. When I changed to a Robitronic Razer Ten combo (60A 4600kv) in my Durga, I was VERY impressed. The 20 EUR price difference is REALLY worth the money !!! I have bought 6 or 7 combos after that and put them in all my (almost) Shelfie 1/10 Buggies. I can strongly recommend these...

Coming along nicely Glenn, I have just installed a new DS3218 PRO servo in my car using the same brushless combo as yours, however the new servo seems to be power hungry and when driving the car fast sometimes the servo is un responsive for about 1 second! this is heart stopping when I am approaching a curb at 50mph and can't steer away! the servo works fine when not driving or under half throttle, I think your ESC is rated at 5.5v and 3A like mine, I wonder if the servo is drawing too much current?
