Downtown Fort Myers used to do Zombiecon night around Halloween, it was awesome ! People used to go all out costumes filling the streets, you and Cris would of loved it, great video 👍

I love the tribute to Dr Paul Jay! Man Fort Myers is a fun road trip isn't it? Two hours down 75 or a it longer if you want to take 17 through Arcadia and the Heartland but so much to see as you say it.. Anyhow, my cousin was an extra in Day of the Dead. He was a USF student who took a job down on Cabbage Key as a cook in the early 80s and answered an ad in their newspaper asking for extras for the film when he took a semester off to save up extra coin. He said it was a lot of fun but hot as they filmed in October (I think) and as you know our SunCoast fall starts in November if we are lucky. Nothing glamorous, they gave everyone sandwiches and Gatorade for lunch and all the water one needed to drink. Great video Jay, The area you did the video had parts of it which wer 7 or 8 feet under water after Ian. Downtown FMY is a nice slice of old Florida surrounded by what we are becoming...... They have made a good recovery down in SWF but it is still a mess on the coast. I really hope to God that these Cat 4 and 5 storms give Florida a break this year, man we deserve it!

There’s something that captivating about movie location history especially more so when it’s George Romero’s zombie trilogy. What’s amazing is the places, the buildings still exists as they were way back in the 80’s when they shot the movie. It must be like a Mecca to visit those locations in real life and in private.

I liked this movie as well as both night and dawn. But the writers made a mistake patraying the Rhodes charecter as the bad guy when it was that crazy doctor who was the real villain doing those horrible experiments on the dead soilders of Rhodes he had every right to be upset with that doctor I would be mad as hell myself if I was Rhodes plus the fact that all of the other characters were OK with what that psycho doctor was doing made them just as evil and bad it's a shame that the bub zombie chatecter wound up killing Rhodes at the end was kind of messed up . I literally along with my friends all cheered as heck when doctor loony tunes got what he deserved after being shot if I remember correctly by Rhodes himself . Team Rhodes all the way great great movie .
