Hello! Whats the cost for bellow replacement?
@timpope12213 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video, can you tell me where you ordered that bellows from and whats the part #, I have a Bomag BT65/4 Tamper and the bellows you installed appears to be very similar, I found the OEM one online and its over $200.00 I also found a after market one on Amazon for $45.00 but it gives very little to dimensions and to what machine it would work on, any help would be appreciated, thanks again.

We ordered that one from ebay...just go on there and type in your tamper model number. Find the one that says it matches and message the seller, to make sure it will fit. That's what I do, for all my parts. That way if it doesn't fit, you have the seller stating confirming it fits, then it can be returned easily and refund your payment easily. Keith 2guys how2

Is the engine oil separate from the lower oil?
@2guyshow2thefishkingz89 Жыл бұрын
Yes...we use motor oil in the lower tamper foot. 10w30 oil will work..there should be a site glass...fill it up until 1/4 inch from top of glass eye...with the tamper standing up to check the level. Keith 2guys how2

If the motor is a 2 cycle engine it takes 2cycle oil mixed with gas..that lubricates the piston and bearings inside the engine. If it's a 4 cycle motor..it takes regular gas and takes motor oil in the crankcase of motor, to lubricate the internals of motor. The lower foot on tamper takes it's own lubrication oil. You can check specs of machine online, what types of oil and lubricants it call for. Keith 2guys how2

This is really a very cool video, I especially liked how the roosters gave hints )) But I had a couple of questions, the fact is that I was faced with the replacement of this clutch, and in addition, the rubber part failed (in your video, you point your finger at it at 9:55) As I understand it, this rubber part softens the impact of the pin . Do you think this tool can work without this part? And why did you make holes in the corrugation?
@2guyshow2thefishkingz89 Жыл бұрын
We made alignment pin holes in the boot..because, the stock boot has alignment holes pre drilled. The aftermarket boots do not have pre drilled alignment holes. If your internal parts are worn out..I would try to find replacement parts or make something as good or better to fix the unit correctly. They take a beating and last if you have all parts, lubes, greased, etc. I would not run it with broken parts. Try to find the OEM part numbers from a legit free parts manual PDF online or buy a used paperback parts manual specific to your machine...also, buy used good or new OEM or aftermarket replacement parts. I do have a paperback manual at the office for this machine..if you need part numbers. Keith 2guys how2

Nice video so helpful, what about a video changing oil??? Thanks..
@2guyshow2thefishkingz893 жыл бұрын
To change the lower tamper ram oil...just look for the sight glass plug...that shows oil in lower ram..should be 1/4 inch from top of sight glass clear lens. The oil drain is directly under the fill sight glass check plug. Use a 10 w 30 oil and Replace the metal plug gasket if you can or it could leak. Keith 2guys how2

I just had one break on me today, the bellow was cracked and leaking oil and the whole top half can rotate separately from the bottom half. I haven’t opened it up yet but does anyone know what happened?
