As a Dagenham fan of 40 years+ I remain eternally grateful of the massive bullet we dodged by avoiding the financial overtures of Glen Tampling. A huge thanks must go to the membership who voted against the take over when it had effectively already been rubber stamped by the Board and the shareholders. I have kept watch on Tampling/Billericay ever since and must extend a massive thanks for the entertainment/laughter/amazement/incredualty etc etc it has given me ever since. At the start of the season when I saw the name Tamplin appearing on Subs Bench I thought surely not. Now I have never seen Tamplin Jnr play but given the recent Billericay history this was only going to go one way. What is they say about a fool and his money!!!!!!!

i am a Billericay town fan even before glen came he has made lots of mistakes but also done a lot of good for the club making the stadium better and making the fans grow even getting us promoted now I am scared that we will not have enough money to play the players that are currently there and they will all leave seeing us get relegated i am so hoping someone buys he % of the club who has the ambition and money he did and lets everyone there do there job

As a Ricay fan, the statement by Tamplin (his one in social media) is total bollocks. Standing on the terraces, Archie Tamplin was very well supported by the fans, we knew he was a young kid but games such as St Albans, he proved to be ok for a 16 year old boy against men. But that’s the thing...he’s only a kid. I think most of our supporter base agree that he could have made a good addition to the team in two to three years time after learning the trade in the academy, but Glenn push Wheeler too much. GT posted on Twitter that the main reason he left was the abuse of his son, but me and many Ricay fans haven’t heard any of this. He was encouraged by the fans .It’s all social media, and for GT that enough. Doesn’t matter if it’s a Chelmsford fan or Concord fan (who will obviously come and have a look at the circus) GT saw the abuse and pulled out even though most of it wasn’t from our own fan base. Just got a feeling it’s gonna be another long summer of fans in the cold while the Circus continues.

The one thing that intrigue me is with G.Tamplin gone, will his son hang around at the club? Because if he doesn’t play for them (as Tamplin can’t force a manager to if he is no longer owner), then will he go elsewhere. So many unanswered questions, and if Tamplin returned a couple of weeks down the line it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest

You wonder how the son feels about this? Is he demanding to be in the team this putting pressure on his father. Or Is the all coming from an overly pushy dad with more money and need for control than sense. The boy has to share training, changing room and bench with team mates all aware of what is going on.

Nik Turk well exactly, especially someone like Matt Rhead - what’s his opinion going to be of the son with the rumours being he was going to be dropped to allow the son to play. Personally looking at their squad there are so many better players than him, ex-FL players who have undeservedly missed out on a place in the squad because of him!
