Finally got around to watching this! I think it's a fun idea to try and look for specifically fallen Dragonborns. I'd throw Pelagius III into this list as well even though his descent was (likely) unintentional. I've always liked the idea that he was secretly a Sheogorath worshipper that slowly weny crazy because of it, but that's not really supported. Thanks for the shoutout, as well!

@@msmith1890 I think Talos is a cool dude, mostly because The part of him that’s Zurin and Wulfharth mellowed him tf out, Tiber Septim the man was a menace; A true calculated menace of a Dragon that was in human form. Tiber solidifies the concept that dragonborns aren’t like any other mortal creature & are rather the calculating Eternal dominating Ego maniacs in mortal form, Mortal in form but in nature they play the long game (Tiber cutting his literal throat for ultimate domination) (Betraying both Zurin and Wulfharth to power the brass god) Everything that man did was in pursuit of power regardless of the consequences, an unrelenting force of nature that upended the entire trajectory of history unto a singular path; a funny analogy i see with Tiber and just any power hungry dragonborn in general is that They’re Dragons With little man syndrome😂 probably why they can be considered even more potentially dangerous than regular dragons; all that power contained in such a Tiny Vessel😂

Talos was cringe for attacking the Elves. He should have stayed with the four human provinces and maybe the Khajit lands. The Elves werent hurting anyone and were highly organized and civilized at the time.
@korgclips8684 ай бұрын
@@anonymousanon6913 Elves were already slowly developing back to the mindset that they should be the ones to rule all of Tamriel, each dominion teetered more towards this goal and by the Time Of Tiber Septim many of the elves of Alinor felt that Man were insufficient to rule themselves (as the Continent was in a broken/Interregnum state) and wished to return to the days of the Merethic Era. The Thalmor aren’t exclusive to the 4th Era either, they’ve been apart of high elven society for thousands of years but haven’t been a popular party until recently; now you could have to argument that if Tiber never attacked they wouldn’t have adopted this ideology but as i’ve said before they were already gravitating towards Elven supremacy and what Tiber merely did was exasperate this process.

" do not let your easy mastery of the voice tempt you into arrogance of power " this popped into my head when you said something about having a shared vison of the universe, and how the dragonborn is basically a dragon in human form, i bet it would be hard to relate to other humans and whoever the dragonborn is would need to develop alot of empathy for his people to want to actually do what it takes to protect and save them, also i could see how it would allow him to relate to the dragons in a way also, in the original game there isnt any friendly dragons besides the one that decides to help out afterwards, which is sad because i would like to know about the conflicts between dragons and how that all happpens and if there was any who stood against his vision for the universe, or is it just as simple as alduin is so powerful that he can just automatically mind control all dragons effortlessly . i love using a mod called memorable dragons, and mirai the girl with the dragon heart . because they introduce more friendly dragons , and the ability to reason with them instead of just killing them

So I've always found the description of each member of the Septim Dynasty all being Dragonborn rather strange. I think that's a false interpretation. I personally think there are only a handful of true Dovahkiin in the history of Tamriel. In chronological order, here is the list of all true Dragonborn that we know of (in my opinion): Merethic Era: Miraak 1st Era: St. Alessia King Wulfharth Reman Cyrodiil 2nd Era: Tiber Septim/Talos 3rd Era: Mankar Camoran 4th Era: The Last Dragonborn I know some of these are not confirmed, and some of their abilities may be called into question (I personally think that it's bullshit St. Alessia couldn't Shout, so I chose to ignore that fact and believe she could have), but these are all true Dovahkiin. The reason the Septim line could wear the Amulet of Kings was because even though they were not all Dovahkiin, they were still descendants of them, meaning the blood of Akatosh still flowed through their veins. All that being said, I believe that only truly evil Dragonborn were Miraak and Mankar Camoran.
@rekaivnsАй бұрын
There's no such distinction between the "dragon blood" and "dragon soul" in lore, they are terms used interchangeably and mean the same thing. Dovakhiin is simply the word for Dragonborn in the dragon tongue, they mean exactly the same thing. Only Dragonborns can wield the Amulet of Kings, and that's a fact. You don't need to shout to be Dragonborn, but if you want an explanation to why most emperors (probably) didn't: Skyrim retrofitted the whole thu'um being a Dragonborn thing into old lore that wasn't written with that in mind. That's the explanation. There's no distinction between Dragonborns like Miraak and the LDB to those like Martin Septim. They all are the same thing.

As TES6 will be the first game without the foundational loreists who even setup Skyrim it will probably have trouble with the main story but the 1000 or more pages of lore are a safety net for it as well as whatever other Elder Scrolls titles setup for it to reclaim. Unpopular opinion but whatever, Starfield has a ways to go as it is where Elder Scrolls started before the infinite lore pages existed.

I don't know if you can really consider those "Fallen". Paarthurnax says that the will to dominate is in a dragon's nature, I would assume the same is true for Dragonborns. Even The Last Dragonborn wants to kill Alduin for either revenge, the will to preserve what he considers as being "his own world", or to fulfil "his destiny", which also is a term of power. So he ends up being heroic, but not because of his heroic intentions, it's just in his nature to attempt to dominate Alduin if he is able to do so. Dragonborn aren't heroes, they are conquerors, rulers, selfish warriors, ... It think it's more difficult to find a truly "good" Dragonborn than a bad one, and those good ones would have "overcome their evil nature" as Paarthurnax put it.

Akatosh is such a messy god, I don't believe dragonborns come from him. Every dragonborn we know was a human to some degree, never an elf (Cameron cheated -- he doesn't count) and are almost always defenders of the mortal world. That points to a pro-human and pro-Mundus worldview. Does that really sound like Auriel, king of the elves and who told the aldmer that the mortal world was a trap devised by the evil trickster Lorkhan? When Mehrunes Dagon attempted to destroy the world, why would Auriel banish him back to Oblivion? Destroying the mortal world sounds like something Auriel would be in favor of, doesn't it? When Alessia prayed to the gods for freedom from the ayleid rulers, why would Auriel take pity on humans? Why would Auriel send the son of Kyne and the greatest elf-killer in history to help humans overthrow elven rulers? If Dragonborns truly come from Akatosh, then Akatosh isn't who he says he is. I think we should do away with the fake name and use the real one. Akatosh isn't chief of the Divines, Shezarr is. Sheor. Shor. Lorkhan.
@anonymousanon69134 ай бұрын
Akatosh is connected to Lorkhan not Auriel so much
@rekaivnsАй бұрын
@@anonymousanon6913Simply wrong. Akatosh and Auriel are the exact same entity, no in game evidence supports such a distinction. The Alessian Order famously *failed* to separate the human Akatosh from the mer Auriel. The imperial Eight Divines are the same Elven gods rebranded to fit with the old Nordic pantheon, so Alessia's empire could claim a shared heritage with the humans of Atmora, securing Skyrim's aid. The distinction is political and cultural in nature, not religious.
