After doing this today, for the first time, i looked in the mirror, and i had to keep looking at my face, several times, to believe what i saw. I am 74, and it's hard to believe what this did to my face after doing it just once, just a few minutes ago. i had to post this, to let all of you know that this is very effective, and if you would like to have a gorgeously shaped face, just start this little routine. you will be amazed.

I've been doing this massage for 3 weeks now, and IT WORKS! I am 29 and I have a round face. I didn't develop any lines yet, but my face was beginning to sag and to look droopy, especially when I was tired. This massage did wonders for me. Thanks for posting it, and thanks for the translation.

This really works. I am 26 years old and just started to loose my skin. I had smile lines from young age, since it was the shape of my face. I randomly saw this face massage. As I was thinking to start something for my skin care, I started to practice this massage. I could see a difference from day 1. Smile lines have almost dissappeared, my round face has been more toned and nose is also sharpened. Even the acne marks also started to dissappear. It also helps for sinus problem as I guess. Do not hesitate and practice. Use proper strenght. I practiced this twice a day. Have a beautiful skin.

As a massage therapist myself, I can see the value in this facial massaging technique. I've found that by using facial massage as part of my skin care routine enables me to easily incorporate this into daily practice. What I do is use my regular facial moisturizer rather than a massage cream/gel/oil. This keeps my skin from breaking out and also allows for my moisturizer to better absorb.
@lmartiu10 жыл бұрын
Hello Deborah, since you are a massage therapist I would like to ask you. Is it normal after a couple of week doing the Tanaka massage you get blackheads and pimples? I started last year with the massage in October, by end of November I had the right part of my neck full with pimples, abld blackheads, I assumed It was the massage and I stoped doing it. What do you think?
@deborahmclaughlin53210 жыл бұрын
The problem ISN'T the massage, but probably the way you prepare to do it. I ALWAYS cleanse my face first; making sure all my makeup is removed and my skin is completely clean. Then, I use a skin care product to do the massage. My favorite is BioOil as it is pure and of natural ingredients. Following my massage I LIGHTLY pat any remaining BioOil off, then follow with my regular moisturizer (Olay). IMPORTANT: Absolutely never do any facial massage or even touch your face during the day with unclean hands. If you do, you can be sure of getting facial breakouts and blackheads. I hope this helps.
@maizidan54739 жыл бұрын
lmartiu I believe it depends on the oil/ lotion/ cream u r using. I just learned this the hard way. I started massaging my face using coconut oil, after two week I woke up to find my forehead and the chin area covered with pimples which depressed me a lot and just could not look at my face. I am using my daily face moisturiser cream now and I am fine with it. I found recently that coconut oil is not good at all for acne prone skin.

This is definitely possible, because when I used a cleansing oil/balm to do it, I got little bumps from it as well. Try using just organic, unrefined sweet almond oil or coconut oil, depending on your preference. When I use one of those oils individually, I don't have a problem, so that might work for you too. Hope that helped! ~Stephanie P.S. The coconut oil I use is from Tropical Traditions, the sweet almond oil is usually from Mountain Rose Herbs.

as a facial therapist, i found this massage sequence as a highly effective one.. combine it with 100% pure and organic argan oil before you sleep that is complete 8 hours and you wont need any expensive anti-aging creme.. of course never to forget to drink more water (alkaline and ionized recommended) to be hydrated inside and not just outside.. by the way, there are essential oils that's not good for the skin directly so try to avoid it unless you defuse it in air.. lavender is soothing but i dont recomend it directly to the face. better dilute it in argan oil or sweet almond oil.. before doing this, make sure you have washed your face and neck very well using a facial wash (recomended: hypoallergenic and mild) and scrubbed gently (you can use a regular talbe granulated salt and kiwi puree or the combination of sugar-honey-safron). and after, make sure u close the pores using mild toners or simply a damp towel and dab it gently to your face. DO NOT WIPE. you can do it as evening ritual. remember, by morning use your regular face cream with sunscreen..

@fryernikki Yes, it is normal for some people. If you watch it to the end, you'll see that this is not a mere skin massage, but a whole treatment of the entire body, as it is supposed to be draining. You actualy stimulate some pressure or acupuncture points, which are reflex points, that's why you had uneven heartbeats.

I looked specifically for a Korean-made aloe vera gel on an advice from a person who had been doing this massage for quite a long time. FarmStay had good reviews on social media, so I bought it and stick with it. Soothing, moisturising and providing the right ‘slip’ / friction balance - if added in small amounts throughout the massage. The list of ingredients on the pack is as follows: Water(Aqua), Glycerin, Alcohol Denat, Propylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate 80, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (1,000ppm), Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum).

@fryernikki Well, everyone has a Carotid Sinus on the neck (specifically, an area in the Carotid Artery). Some doctors massage this area to find a type of arrhythmia of the heart. Massaging this area can also slow a rapid heart rate, but its better to leave that to a doctor (in case a dangerous arrhythmia develops). Anyway, hope that helps. You should check with your doctor if it happens again. It's probably nothing, but better to be safe.

It depends on your preference. Tanaka used to massage her clients' faces prior to putting on makeup, so for you, that might be in the morning. Since you are going to be putting oil or face massage cream on, you may want to wash your face after the massage, but that's up to you and if you feel that you look greasy.

Furthermore, a week ago my friend called me and asked to hire a plastic surgeon for her mom and grandma, she said: my grandmother still looks the same, my mother too, and told me, you know what, go to the moon make to make those massages to martians, hahahaha. I agree with my friend, why not use a model that really needs to improve the appearance of their wrinkles, and sagging skin?
