Tandberg TD 20A update and ATtiny1606 breakout boards (soldering video)

Thanks Wouter. I don't know if people get that I didn't have access to test the chip in the recorder. Therefor I was so happy when I got the message back from the repair guy. I posted the story about this in the Norwegian Tandberg Repair forum, and some other repair guys wants to try it too, and it is a problem that has been holding them back. Most of the folks in the in the audio repair community I think are more familiar with analog electronics :)

@@bwack I can imagine. It's like someone making a replacement SID chip for the first time :) I was hoping that someone might come up with an upgraded ROM image to improve the machine or something. Someone still might.

Has anyone else had success in doing this? Is anyone making these? My TD20A plays. That’s it. No forward, rewind, record etc.

Maybe someone can reply to you regarding this. I know the guy before me had success repairing with a similar chip replacement. To be sure you need to take out the chip, test it like I do in the video at 3:15 . Replacing the chip will be just a hit and miss.
