Excellent step by step video. My advice is to install the post travel overtravel screw before doing anything else. By using this video, I have installed two of these kits. Just be patient. Bill is must more skilled at doing this procedure than any of us are. Also, be sure that the safety is off when reinstalling the hammer.

I just installed this following the video. It went "as seen on TV" until the pin holding the mag release dropped on its own. The only loose pin on my gun! Once I figured how to fix that, it was back to the video. Once I got the set screw on the trigger where I wanted it, I put drops of nail polish on it next to the back of the trigger to lock it there. It's an old trick I used to use when setting the rangefinder on old cameras. I love the result! The trigger feels pretty much like the one on a joystick! Almost like clicking a mouse!

I bought one of these kits and the standard 10/22 trigger sear pin will not go through the new sear on this kit. I tried three different 10/22 rugers and the sear pin on all of the rugers would not go through the new sear on the ultimate kit. So when it says it will fit all 10/22 rugers, I have three the kit won't work in.

this can be installed on a cast housing with a modifying to the housing and trigger. I got the red trigger so I used a red sharpy to color the grinding marks. After learning all the problems with doing this i think it was well worth it. Just takes time. Drumel tool is a must. Anyone wanting to do this just reply to me and I'd be happy to assist you. Also make sure you locktite the adjustment set screw as a precaution. Common sense I guess.

I just ran into this same issue, I’m assuming it’s because our model of ruger 10/22’s are older? I have the 10/22 carbine and it was my 1st gun as a kid, it’s at least 25 years old. Rick could you please assist and advise me if it’s not too much trouble? I really wanna keep this trigger and move forward with the upgrade. Should I use a precision compass the little V fork thing and or a digital caliper “micrometer” for getting the measurement and grinding it down with a Dremel and finish with sandpaper? How did you go about getting the trigger to operational specs? Thank you for your advice and time sir.

Had problems with the the sear hole being to small for the stock pin to go thru. And after having a hell of a time to get the pin all the way I found my casting was interfering with it. I had to remove metal from the hole were the trigger goes into the trigger guard. Would I recomend this? If I knew these ahead of time yes. And one last thing I had problems with. My fingers are too fat That was easy enough to get around but the guy must have long thin fingers LOLI counldnt get my finger in side ways. My problems might have been from the fact that the gun is 32 yrs old. But I love it.

Looking at the left side of the trigger pack there is a small spring and plug that diagonally rested against the rear of the stock trigger. It looks this trigger kit once installed doesnt have any use for this spring and plunger thing anymore? Not referenced in the video. Can you clarify please? Do i just remove both and discard?

I have one factory housing and one bx…not sure if I have the old. I can see the geometry of the hammers are different. Which is which?
@TANDEMKROSS2 жыл бұрын
BX housings and standard housings are exactly the same, but the difference will be in the sear trigger and disconnector. The sear and disconnector will have "hubs" on the side. Those parts in the factory housing will be flat-sided. If you are using an old trigger housing back when they were aluminum, some fitting for our parts may be required. If your trigger housing is polymer, then there will not be a need for fitting.

uhhhh...not sure if i put the orginal spring back on. Which on is in the upgrade kit? The larger or smaller spring?
@johnreacher3756 Жыл бұрын
What "original" spring are you talking about? There is a spring that pushes on a plunger (in the trigger guard of the frame). That spring does not get re-installed. All other springs that came out of the trigger assembly are re-installed. TK includes in the hardware kit an additional music wire spring with a single coil. That spring pushes back on the trigger to reset the trigger for another shot.

@@TANDEMKROSS Ok when I emailed you guys they said you do not make a trigger that fits the bx22 trigger?
@johnreacher3756 Жыл бұрын
I'm guessing that there was some miscommunication between you and TK. The curved trigger shoe in the BX trigger assembly cannot be replaced with the TK flat faced trigger shoe by itself. The sear and the disconnector sit inside the trigger shoe, held in by pins in holes that are drilled through the trigger shoe. There are some differences in the geometry between the 10-22 stock trigger shoe and the BX trigger shoe. TK found out that only by installing the Ultimate Trigger Kit, (essentially getting a sear and disconnector to fit the flat faced trigger shoe) can you get a flat faced trigger shoe.

Second question if question one is "yes"; will you be selling the New Victory Trigger for the 10/22 by itself without the hammer and sear? Your time and assistance is appreciated. P.S.
