Looks like a nice upgrade for the TX22. Just curious why it costs $6 for shipping such a tiny component? I would imagine a First Class stamp (55 cents) would be sufficient for domestic delivery.

I like the serrations on the sight housing. I bought one from lakeline and it does not have the serrations and it catches some glare at certain angles. the mounting screw is nearly too small as well. It's far better than the stock sight but damn. Im going to use the stock mounting screw if the threads will match up. I don't know why anyone would make a replacement part with differing thread pitches

I can use my TX22 sights, its a very accurate gun but the rear sight is too shallow. That and when I run anything on the barrel it shoots 4' low at 7yds, I can wiggle on the barrel's thread adapter during lockup and its got more play than I want (none), they designed it so it takes down easy but wanted the barrel to have fixed accuracy, the lug the barrel engages varies how tight the barrel is when in lockup im not sure if this area is tightened how it would effect accuracy

@kirklewit2 жыл бұрын
You should tell people that the small Allen screw can be stripped out quite easily. Mine stripped without any effort. I had to take it to my local gun store to have it removed. Just letting people know, be very careful with that small screw. I’m assuming The factory used a lot of Loctite.
@TANDEMKROSS2 жыл бұрын
I'll make note of that now in the description! Thanks for looking out.
@capt.mike73ahoy144 жыл бұрын
Installed one on my TX22 and it certainly improved the sight picture. Ran 150 rounds through the pistol with no loosening of the front sight so looks like the TK Loctite application is sufficient so far. Good product from you guys! I might suggest including a slightly longer hex wrench for the new screw. The one supplied is a bit short for my fingers so I used a longer version from my tools. Thanks!
@TANDEMKROSS4 жыл бұрын
Glad you're happy with it! The hex wrench complaint is one we started hearing pretty much as soon as customers started getting their hands on the sights. We're working on solving it for future shipments.

I own 2 TX22's, sadly both of mine had the front sight screw from the factory too tight for the 5/64" allen wrench included with the sight kit. All I was able to do was round off the inside of the screws. Looks like I'll have to drill em out to improve my sights.
@TANDEMKROSS3 жыл бұрын
Hey Neil, this is Luke, I had the same problem with mine as well, seemed to be extremely tight. I was replacing it anyways so I just pried to original plastic sight off the front which made the bottom sight screw pop right out. Just keep in mind, the front sight was not reusable after I did this haha!

I saw one video and after installing this the guy had to raise the back sight to compensate for a slightly higher front sight height. Has anyone else experienced this and is it necessary? Thanks
@TANDEMKROSS3 жыл бұрын
Everyone sees and uses their sights in a different way so that is quite possible. If you had your stock sights adjusted for a center hold or 6 o'clock hold, then adjustments may be needed. The focal point of the fiber optic dot is more conducive to a combat hold style sight picture, so you may need to raise the rear sight to match.

@@TANDEMKROSS I e-mailed Taurus and you guys but got impatient so I used a small knife to whittle away the original plastic front sight until it fell off. The sight was the only thing holding the screw in so the screw fell out and I was able to install the new sight easily. Your new sight is installed and works great. @TANDEMKROSS3 жыл бұрын
That's unusual for sure. Are there screw threads inside the screw hole on the sight? It's possible that one without threading snuck through quality control, or that the hole isn't wide enough for the screw. That's the only thing I can think of.

But your previous comment about the allen wrench makes me wonder if you were sent the wrong size allen wrench, or if the hole in the screw head is too small or something.
