Two things that always made me hate the SKX: The 7S26 movement and the hardlex crystal. Tandorio solved both problems for a fraction of the price. Bravo!

Getting close to 5K mate, grats, I actually like this and have added to my list. Think it could be a solid platform to mod as I think this size would fit my wrist better than the full size model. I remember the last tandorio I had the lume wasn't great so glad to see a step up there. Nice job

Just bought one on AliX for $71 on 2022 cyber Monday. I am very excited for this watch. I truly think this follows a small skx007 vs being a skx013. Comparing the 007 to 013, the 013 has longer lugs in proportion to the 007 case size. This watch follows the 007 case proportions while shrinking to the 38mm case. As a watch modder, I am very excited to play with different dials in here.

The SKX013 and SKX007 have very different cases. This Tandorio is really a copy of the SKX007 shape, in the size of the SKX013. That's cool if that's what you wanted... I was really hoping for a SKX013 shape when I bought mine.

I used to have an SKX013 back in 2007. I wore it for years on my 7 3/4 inch wrist. It didn’t look diminutive on the bracelet, but it did look that way on a strap. Go figure. Great review as always.

agreed, i have the tandorio case and on strap (leather or barton) it looks smallish...i will test on tropic strap or a straight endlink bracelet to see the look...same issue with the cadisen 62mas...look ok on steel bracelet but small on other strap. do you know if the tandorio an be modded by changing the bezel for a full metal one ...to create a sort of 38mm SRPE

This is a great watch. Replaced my O&W M4 which had screw down problems. Out of all my Chinese purchases, this was the best. I think it's because of the Seiko movement. All my others had Miyota. I also have an Orient Mako 2, already has some scratches on it. I work in shipping. Lots of hand moving.

I have one of these and like it a lot. It is small, but I put it on a shark mesh bracelet, and that makes it wear bigger and looks better.

It's good that they are stepping up their lume game. Tandorio's other models seem to have rather poor lume based on the reviews I've seen. If only Pagani Design would do the same.

I bought this watch via the Ali Express app by clicking on your link and then on the 'open in app' button, so I hope you get credit for the sale. I like this watch because although it is SKX inspired, the smaller size means that it is also its own thing rather than just an 'homage'. Also, the SKX is no longer produced so I couldn't buy a new one if I tried. I considered the new SRPD model but it seems like an inferior successor to the SKX as there is no screw down crown or a sapphire crystal like this watch has. This watch is also half the price! I considered getting the no logo variant but opted for the branded version as I actually like the Tandorio logo and in my opinion the dial looks unbalanced without it. I appreciate being offered the sterile option but hey, if it's a good watch why hide the brand? This looks like a tough little watch so I'm looking forward to not having to worry about it. It also looks nice on that green army strap so might have to get one. Thanks for the informative review.

It's probably too small for me but I like it. I'm not a big fan of the name Tandorio though, it reminds me of tandoori chicken which is a tasty dish, but not a name I want on my watch, probably not alone on that either, as witnessed by the sterile option. But I'm also not really a fan of having no logo at all, unless it's original to the design like a flieger or a Benrus, so I think a non-text logo would the best move, especially since they have a decent looking logo.

ah, don't worry about it. i was as well, but here I am...3+ years and too many Ali purchases later and I haven't really had a single issue. slow shipping, about 3 weeks max to the US...but otherwise it's all been good.

I'm not sure really, I found an older Seiko from the 80's that was also similar size. It literally looks like they hit the "scale" button on an SKX007. THE 13 looks a little different to me

I'd say it's probably fine for light swimming. Springbar removal tool is your friend. Pretty simple to do once you get the hang of it.

Hmmm - 60 click bezel - looks like good base for a mod with NH34a and 24h bezel. I wisth Tandoro would reduce thickness a bit since it isn't 200m WR anyhow.

Oh, well that'd be a cool mod indeed. Bezel insert may be the tough one since it's not the same size as the 013 inserts.

The Tandorio Official Store on AliExpress also says this is a 50m WR watch, which disqualifies it for me. Tandorio seems to have fixed their poor lume quality, but a dive watch that isn't even 100m WR? It kind of rules it out as a sports watch, even if you don't scuba or snorkel.

Dial should have second markers this way it would look better. I have the oposite problem, modded older Seiko 7002 and ordered dial with markers without thinking. Now I have markers on dial, chapter ring and on bezel and since it is Seiko none of the markers lines up !!

This is a nice review but I wish you wouldn't be handling it so much so you didn't have so much Reflection from the overhead lights. I could barely see the watch for the reflections in the glass.

I think a lot of people will be revisiting this model and other Tandorio watches since Gary at I Like Watches just had this model instantly fail a water pressure test. I wish this was the "too good to be true" that actually was, but it looks like it probably isn't. :(

I pressure tested this watch to 100m and it was fine. Possible to go 200m but who goes there? FYI, I would have cleaned up your strap before video taping.

it would be really hard to find a fitted jubilee that would flow well with the case IMO. always a possibility, but I wouldn't count on it.

@@BridgeIsSky sorry man. Lots goes into it. Curved endlinks are tough because the holes in the case end endlinks have to be nearly identical in location. So a watch made for an oyster style case wouldn't fit and SKX style case because the SKX have shorter lugs and this, the location of the holes is different. Check lug width first, then case diameter 2nd, if those match, you have a shot at it fitting right. 40mm diameter bracelet endlinks will sit away from the case and the sharp corners of the endlinks will hit the case before the rounded part making it look weird. It's just tough. Hollow endlinks can be bent and manipulated a bit so those are easier to make work. Obviously the straight ends will almost always work Hope this helps.

I bought a dial to replace a watch that had poor lume. It was made by tandario. With hands. To replace poor lume with poor lume is not funny 😕. Rather I watched other watch reviews and they are totally the same as me from a lume point. Read the fine print and eat it but if this watch is good . I'll buy. And say if I sell it. It's not good to show up with 25 year old lume and no AR coating when baltany steeldives addiesdive. I'm not interested in buying. I make my own watches that scratches my itch. Tandario is like Pagani design. Good for half the day. No good up north
