Such a vibrant colour to the skin. The plant it came from is a really nice specimen too. I'm glad the fruit was good. 👍🏽

It was a lovely colour. Lol I’m sure I can soon make the plant look worse 😂

Such a bright and vibrant fruit to cheer you up in January!

Yes a lovely colour isn’t it 😁

It looked like an excellent quality fruit, Brett! Hopefully, your new Tangelo tree does well over the winter 🤞

It’s actually outside Peter as I couldn’t squeeze it into the summerhouse but I have covered it in a fleece, I’m not sure about the claimed hardiness of tangelo plants but I guess I’ll find out 😬

@@lyonheart84 Oh wow, hopefully, it makes it 🤞. It definitely wouldn't survive in my garden next week lol 😂. Although we both know a certain someone who would say it will be fine uncovered even at -5°C 🤣

@PeterEntwistle lol that person has gone on the missing list for a few weeks. If it looks like getting extremely cold I can bring it indoors although they hate the central heating 😱

What a beauty! I love how Citrus in general ripens right when we need a boost of Vitamin C most😁

It’s nice to see a splash of colour in winter as well 😁

Great to see a Citrus tasting video from you in the New Year. Looks like a good variety to have 😃🌱

I’d wanted a tangelo for a long time but they were extremely elusive to find Joe 😁

Haha Maia it was pretty good actually but I guess it’s cheating as I bought the plant with a ripe fruit on it 😂

The fruits of my sour orange are fully ripe. I sliced one in half and squeezed it into my mouth.....wow, it's tangy and aromatic. Will make a great marmelade, but I will set aside some zest for addition to my next batch of homemade cranberry sauce......I have a year's supply of cranberries and turkey meat in my freezer😂

Lol yes the turkey seems to go on for ever after Christmas haha

Watching it out of order 😅 I have to look for the plant video.

Was it thirst-quenching and refreshing? You are better off taking cuttings rather than growing the pips (unless you don't mind waiting and the surprise factor)
@lyonheart8421 күн бұрын
Nahhhh I don’t need to propagate it, no space. Sometimes I just poke seeds in for fun to see if they germinate 😁

It was quite juicy but maybe not thirst quenching 😁
