Hi fellow Discoverers. This is Alan from Discovery Walking Tours TV. Do subscribe and ring the bell if you are keen to see more of Singapore. I used binaural microphones to record the environmental sounds. So if you have a pair of headphones, do use them, it will be quite an immersive experience 😀 If you notice any interesting points in the video or want to ask about something that was caught on camera, comment with a time stamp (eg 00:01) and I will be sure to check it out. I am also interested to know where you are from 😄 so drop a comment below and say hi! If you are keen to see more of Singapore, check out my playlist below: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qp_bgKiHrJd_a6c

Thanks for sharing your experiences in living in this area. A number of the residents have moved and move will be leaving as the years go by. Wonder what the area will look like once more condominiums and 40 storey HDBs are built in the area

I ate at this Indian food stall at 8:08! Damn shiok. Very tasty. The old blocks are going to disappear soon... Did you see the notices informing the residents that the new flats are nearly ready pasted everywhere? So sad. I think maybe early next year they will demolish all of these. Another part of Singapore gone. I also made a video. Will post in December. Have a long queue. Thanks for this. Cool record of history.
@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV5 жыл бұрын
Yeah the bryani looks awesome. If people willing to queue it must be got some standard. Yeah the whole estate got SERS and I think they will be taking keys end 2020. Glad to hear you did your own take of the estate. Looking forward to it in December =D

Nice video...mostly Commonwealth Drive area..of course the only Tanglin Halt market etc....but. it seems incomplete without showing the shops and blocks near the former Police station building..That area had the original shops..post office..coffee shop.clinic..which later became Dr Neo's clinic.. etc in the 60s to 70s...i.e blk 33 , 34..onwards to blk 45...and behind thisbrow of blocks the HDB office....AND on the other side the rows of blks 20+...after all that is the real Tanglin Halt...with the park/playground..and the Blessed Sacrament Church

Hi Bro, Thank you for sharing this video of Tanglin Halt.....it was a favorite marketing and food joint for me. The Indian Stall @8:40 sells excellent sambal fried fish, fried chicken, fish curry. His biryani is popular too. His father-in-law, operates a similar stall at Maxwell Food Centre. Other good stalls at the Food Centre, includes duck meat noodles, laksa, otak2 and the ban chang kuih!
