Great video, very helpful. I like the metronome use as it makes it a lot clearer. Just ordered a metronome so that I can keep practicing

That's great. A metronome truly helps with timing. Enjoy!

Good thing youtube lets you slow the video down! I could not keep up with the síncopa in double time.
@tangotools Жыл бұрын
You can also try on your own at a slower tempo.

@@tangotools Yes, thanks. It's a good challenge and shows where I need to focus most.

A tip that is helping me: Instead of trying to think of which # to count on (2, 1, 4, 3, 2, 3), I think of starting on 2, and then waiting for two ticks before I take the next step. It's always two ticks between, until the very last pair.

It would be nice to demonstrate on tango music to apply even more...

I agree. But if I get a copyright strike, the video might be taken down.

@@tangotools 50 years old an over compositions, and playing with your demo should be fine, I saw old Di Sarli playing with people dancing into it and there were no cuts... Check that! If not a good metronome, why not? Keep it on :)
@tangokaleidos1926 Жыл бұрын
@@bobbythompson263 that's not how copywriting works. It is 70 years after the composer's death AND 70 years after the death of whoever played and recorded the music, even if the music is public domain. All of the tango music from the Golden Age is copyrighted and cannot be publicly played without a music license.

Jordi, where to get the beat?
@tangotools Жыл бұрын
You can use a metronome, either a real one or an app, and set these beats on it.

Harder than it looks. I’ll have to spend more time doing each rhythm as you recommended. Edit: love reggae, didn’t know it was syncopated.
@tangotools3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. You'll probably won't need so much rhythmic complexity when dancing a particular tango. But being able to do more than what you need helps make your dance feel easy.
